Cantina Kitchen and Bar in Torbay

A rather unassuming place from outside, we only popped in with our dogs for a quick drink having been to the beach. We were quickly taken aback by the nice looking food being served to other tables so decided to give it a go, and are we glad we did!The food is excellent, the staff friendly and welcoming, the atmosphere lovely, and they allow dogs inside and out.It's now firmly on our list of must-visit places every time we come down.Bravo to all the wonderful staff making it such a nice place.

Great location and doggy friendly. Prices were reasonable and we found a table straight away. We were able to order from an app which was convenient. Our order came quickly and the staff were friendly. They also have great flavours of ice cream. Good for food/drinks or both. Would reccomend.

Had the vegan avocado mayo ciabatta. It was huge and very tasty with lots of filling, and a good portion of crisps on the side.Service was very quick and friendly and the place had a good vibe about it.I had been before a few years previously and enjoyed the food then.Would recommend the Cantina if you want something to eat that is good quality and value for money.

Great food - Disappointing service.We were having dinner at the cantina on Friday evening. We arrived at 7 and planned to have food and drinks.Firstly, we can’t have tabs which is not convenient if you want to have bottles of wine for the table..Secondly, a friend of us was late, and when he was to order food they told us the kitchen was closed. Kitchen closed at 8pm on Friday night middle of Spring !? I did insist since we all had food and he was really hungry. So we had to share our plates with him which was really awkward since the portions were small. The staff didn’t care, wasn’t helpful at all. Our friend had to leave because he was starving.Finally, they asked us to leave at 9pm when we still had half a bottle of wine to drink! So they said: « you can take the bottle with you on your way out, sorry we’re closing. » To be honest, that was a first 😳I just can’t believe that when supporting a local family business buying loads of food and drinks we have been treated that way. Don’t get a dinner menu ready for Friday night if you plan to close the kitchen at 8 and kick people out at 9 when the restaurant is still busy. I wish I knew that before I chose Cantina for our dinner..

Great location, food and live music. The Sunday roast was one of the best I've had. I love both the indoor and outdoor seating area. The outdoor area is dog friendly and I like that they sometimes have a badminton net out. The staff are lovely. I'd highly recommend this place for a nice meal out, drinks, music or just a coffee in the garden. Any excuse for a visit!

Somewhere between a cafe and a restaurant, Cantina Kitchen and Bar is a wonderful place. Lovely staff, incredible food, and amazing drinks both alcoholic and non alcoholic.Extremely good value for money, the food is prepared with care and it shows, and in a wonderful location with lots of beautiful front garden seating.

Delicious cakes, super friendly staff, fast service. Pleasant outside seating are on secluded lawn. Reccommended!Ps cakes in photo were to good - mistly eaten before pic was taken!

Amazing food, great selection of cakes, good list of wines and beers - gem of a place right on one of the most beautiful Torbay beaches.Family friendly during the day it had a lovely evening program for more adult customers featuring love music , wine clubs etc.Food is presenting the best of local, fresh and sustainable ingredients. And if you turn right at the entrance , you’ll get a table with a view over kitchen to watch how your treat is prepared right in front of you.

We visited on a busy Sunday afternoon; the staff were attentive, food and drinks arrived quickly and the table was cleaned before we sat down. Lots of games and colouring bits for the kids, dog-friendly, clean facilities. The food and drinks were great and the manager obviously really takes pride in her team and cafe. This was our first visit and we’ll definitely be back! Thank you!

Great spot for food and drink. The staff are all very friendly and busy!It's nice to a business working hard to do a good job, rather than be lazy like other places.Thank you for the really tasty Korean BBQ Cauliflower!
