Coffee#1 in Torbay

We are regular customers of this branch and always enjoy the great coffee and cakes, friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere. However after our visit on 19/2/2022, we shall not be returning. The female employee  has a terrible attitude to customers, very snappy and unfriendly and the whole place had a bad atmosphere with her stomping around and glaring at customers. Not what you expect from what seems to be a good coffee chain

Came here today (17/02/2022 1:30pm), the first time, on recommendation. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED from the minute I entered. The lady who made and served coffee had some attitude. First carried on working on her laptop while I waited to be attended to. Then I requested for a table to be cleared- literally picked the tray up and walked off. Had to clean the table myself. I observed her attitude after with other clients- no different. The most unwelcoming experience I've ever had - Absolutely 0/10 customer focused

Great coffee and cakes in a shabby chic environment on the main shopping street. Fair prices. Polite & helpful staff. Tables and easy chairs, some seating outside. Bring your book or laptop, babies and breastfeeding welcome.

Lovely location, cool to see old post offices being used. Incredibly friendly staff! Very nice people. The coffee (which lets be honest is why you're going) was excellent!Didn't have any food but if it follows the trend you won't be disappointed

Shame we love this iconic building .It’s so spacious and the seating is plentiful.The coffee one in Totnes is also fabulous and they manage to cope with a busy time .Unfortunately today my wife bought an Americano which was so hot because they didn’t have a cleaner and it was in a cardboard cup she burnt her hand carrying it .Also for me I just can’t drink and enjoy a coffee in a card cup .She got herself a cappuccino which was in a proper coffee cup but there was hardly any coffeee just froth and it was a wrong colour..She didn’t drink it.Sad we won’t be going back until they can get a cleaner that can cleanup and make way for the barristers to work well.

It's a Sunday morning and we are strolling across Torquay and Paignton and needed a coffee. Haven't been in a Coffee 1 establishment for ages and in particular this one because of renovations. Without doubt Coffee 1 do the best coffees of all the "Chains"!! And, the building and decor are second to none. Its pretty big and very chilled out. Sadly, I think the staff were a bit miserable, but then lockdown 2 is looming and they don't know what is going to happen. Its all so sad. We will be back in December ....

Went in ,whilst we were on our camping trip.The manager was a lovely lady ,very polite and helpful.Oh and the coffee was awesome, the best coffee ,I have had in years in any coffee 1.Loved the idea of water outside for pets , my dog loved the fresh clean water .Will visit again ,when we are in the area.

The place is located in Torquay Town centre. Staff are friendly and there is a good relaxed atmosphere. They have nice cakes for sale and a good variety of soft/hot drinks for sale.

I love this branch of Coffee #1 and always go when I visit Torquay. I think the building used to be the post office. It's quite large inside and has been decorated beautifully. Nice big comfy sofas and chairs that you can relax in with your favourite beverage. Staff are friendly and the coffee is great. I think Coffee #1 also does one of the best cake selections out of the various chains. Great cheesecake.
