David's Fish & Chip Shop in Torbay

The fish was ok the batter was burnt on one side and soggy on the other , the chips were tasteless and the mushy peas were ok asked for salt and vinegar but not enough on them .

Stopped off here after a day out in Brixham and found the food to be excellent. We had fish and chips and some kids fish fingers and chips. The portion sizes were great and it tasted delicious. The staff were very friendly. Would definitely recommend

Great chippy only wanted a small portion of chips with my fish so they give me a voucher for the rest of the chips to be used next time ,excellent service

Have a delivery from here most weeks and can honestly say we are never disappointed. It arrives piping hot ,friendly driver.The fish is thick and flaky ,batter is golden and crisp. Chips are perfect. Mushy peas are the real deal. Thanks to you all. Best in Brixham, always recommending.

Excellent Fish in a thriving fishing town they cook to order so is really fresh, so be prepared for a short wait. Fair variety, but they didn't do Skate. They offer gluten free batter if needed, but not Friday/Saturday. It's on a busy road and there are a couple of parking spaces opposite. But most drivers chance it on the double yellows.

Decided to go here based on the great reviews.First impression was that the shop was a decent professional set up, although the staff seemed unfriendly and unhappy.Paid over £18 for x2 haddock and chips and a small tub of peas.Unfortunately the chips were mainly small hard bits and the fish batter was soggy, so not the experience I was expecting.Most decent chippies supply your meal in a box nowadays which would be an improvement.

Had several takeaways now, Really nice fish and chips. Always Served hot 🔥 My only suggestion is I think it would be better to wrap the cod in a separate paper if serving with chips. After a couple mins the steam causes the underside of the batter to go soggy and stick to the chips. Otherwise, everything was spot on 👍 👌

Having read the reviews we are so glad we chose David's. We ordered online which was fast and simple. Food was just getting ready when I arrived. Very nice and good sized portions, not to small not to big, just right. Very well priced across the menu. Fish and chips were excellent, not greasy at all. Wife had the Veggie burger and it was flavourful and nicely cooked.Will most definitely be back.

It's not right in the centre and you will have to walk an extra 10-minutes to get to Dave's fish and chips. But it was well worth it, and not so expensive as the ones on the more popular tourist location. It was cooked fresh and it was piping hot, had some lovely chips and a beautiful curry sauce to dip them in.

Chippy award winner. Well deserved. Best scampi and chips! Fish, not so much. Pea fritters, oh so good!
