Deli and brunch place which specials on homemade, local, high quality ingredients.Cakes, pasties, freshly filled baguettes, bakery with the best local sourdough, selection of grains/pulses/crisps/chutneys/jams and biscuits.Lovely brunch menu with everything we like from classic English breakfast to Avo toasts, pancakes and croissants served with butter and local jams.Do ask for the specials menu and if you see porridge there don’t hesitate - it’s a treat!

A great local place for a bite to eat and a coffee. Lovely home made healthy food to be had. I would recommend a visit as I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

Great produce, great atmosphere and they have really upped their game identifying vege and vegan options. The downside is some of the staff are rude, especially if you dare to wear a mask!

Ilsham is a gem on the outskirts of Torquay, we visited Me & Mrs Jones for a late takeaway lunch but sadly had sold out of baguettes when the family and I went for a late lunch. Fabulous range of produce and tasty morsels. Well worth a trip out to get away from the mass produced fayre available elsewhere in the area.

Had the most delicious Carrott cake at this Cafe. Staff very friendly & accommodating. Bit like a vintage Tea room everything fresh & Home Made. Worth a visit.

Slow service - both in taking our order and in getting our drinks. Uncleared tables. A bit disappointed after reading other reviews.

Lovely coffee with a nice vibe and good local food. Staff was super friendly and also they were very careful to keep everything super clean (even more because the covid) following properly all the instructions.I enjoyed the coffee and the lunch, super delicious with a quick service.

Situated in an upmarket area of Torquay this place does really well with people of all ages but, in particular, ladies in pairs having tasty homemade pies and fresh salads and catching up on the gossip over a small wine. It also serves as a popular delicatessen for the locals who pop in to take advantage of the delicious food, cheese and olives on offer as well as chutneys and jams. We had spicy pumpkin soup and although it was palatable it wasn't spicy and was a bit bland.. So hats off........and well done to the owner who had learnt of our minor dissatisfaction .... and on paying the bill gave us voucher for 2 free soups and bread at a later date! Nice gesture. It has a nice relaxed feel to it and the staff are all very friendly and knowledgeable. Some of the tables are pretty close to each other so it's intimate at times. Nevertheless, it is a nice place and provides a perfect location for breakfast, lunch or afternoon tea with lots of homemade cakes! Wellswood is a mile or so from the Strand at Torquay and there is regular buses passing by. There is parking alongside all the Wellswood shops which allow free parking for an hour or so.....but well used!! You must go.
