Maha - Bharat in Torbay

Very disappointed. No problem with drinks & poppadoms. Completely different mains from what we ordered arrived at the table these were different from what we normally order, started to eat them. By this time a mistake was made they were not what we ordered. My order arrived too late so was told it would be bagged up to take away. We couldn’t as we were staying in a hotel. All that was offered at the end was 10% discount. Not happy.

Didn't book beforehand but we were welcomed to dine by host. Lovely atmosphere and beautiful decor. The food was beautifully cooked. We had the poppadoms and pickles, chicken tikka masala and cheese and garlic naan bread, fully recommend.

I went to the Balti House for dinner without a reservation. The place was less than 1/2 full. We were met by a gracious host who seated us immediately. The owner came over and told us to leave because we had no booking. A mild mannered young gentleman tried to make amends but the owner's rudeness and disrespectful attitute prompted us to leave. This restaurant will go under shortly if he does not change his behaviour towards customers. Please take this this as a learning, we will not be back ever.

A party of four for an evening meal. Attentive service, excellent quality and quantity of fare and reasonably priced. Extensive menu. Nice surroundings. Will certainly visit again.

Now to be straight, we travel a lot and eat all over UK, love curry. Ambience here with low light and music all good, service and staff okay at best, but the main course food portion was terribly small, wouldn't go back!!

Meal for four on a busy Saturday night. Dispite a little slow service the experience was a good one.Nice tasty food with a great atmosphere for all. Families well catered for.

Honestly a fantastic restaurant. Superb food and service, couldn’t have felt more welcome, left absolutely stuffed and very satisfied. Awesome place.

Pickle tray was instant before i even took my coat of and then had to wait 1 hour and 15 for one veg dish and 2 sides. Was really over priced for what it was and £6 a pint! couldn't fault the food itself but definitely left feeling dissapointed.Visited here a few years ago and was lovely with reasonable prices and much more value for money but portions decreased and price increased. Not only this, my dad was actually ill straight after with bad belly.... not good and won't be returning.

Food was outstanding, full of flavour and left wanting to go back. Highly recommended.

Excellent customer service and tasty food. They went the extra mile and tried to make a pizza with a naan bread to accommodate my daughter. Will definitely go back again.
