It is a lovely hotel, staff are brilliant and so is the food.

All our choices: the Falafal, the Steak and K pie with mash, and the Burger all excellent washed down with a well kept Doom Beer (or two). A great lunch stop and serving til 2:30pm.

Really great pub. Food was superb. Lots of it, well cooked and very short wait even with the pub looking busy. Staff were a real credit. Thank you for a lovely evening. Highly recommended.

Loved seeing " big bad Barry", he's the fish 😂 lovely and cosy inside with a country feel and spacious gardens with pretty twinkling lights . Good menu expecially 2 "cooked on a stone" steaks(theres other things so on this deal) and a bottle of vino for £25. Most importantly it's DOG FRIENDLY 🐶😊. There was about 5 when we visited. Staff are great. Highly recommended 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Friendly pub with helpful and efficient staff. We had the steak served on a stone (a bit like a fondue without the oil) and very nice it was too. The sensible social distancing rules applied evidently did not please everyone, but were a relief to see. Will be back at some point recommended.

The food was perfect, as before. The staff are delightful.The music is to the owners taste even though he want at home!!! I mentioned the music spoilt my experience, it wasn't tasteful. I was told it was the owners choice. 'Please tell him it is too heavy.' The response was 'We have told him many times, it is his taste.'To the owners. I am sorry about this review, but surely your paying customers come first. I don't think the other customers were enamoured by the music.Would live to hear your response!

Had an enjoyable evening Steak evening.. Two steak meals for £25 with a bottle of wine. Pub in delightful village. Well laid out garden area with good seating under large gazenos. Excellent service from well mannered and responsive staff. The steaks came to the table on very hot flat stones. No chance of steaks being over or undercooked as its you who do the cooking. Steak quality and quantity was also excellent. Served with chipped potatoes, mushrooms and a good size cooked tomato. Sides available. I chose sticky toffee pudding with custard. I asked for custard with the pudding and was delighted with the hot decent copious amount of delicious custard and the very tasty pudding which I shared with my partner.

The food was good and worth a visit for that. And changing the outdoor space to accommodate people for covid rules, looked rustic and relaxing, which certainly took a lot of effort. We paid £300 for 2 nights, and I'm afraid it wasn't value for money. Inside was tired and grubby, unclean in place's, untidy and uncared for in most areas. Bathroom was modern and bright, and the bed comfortable.
