Meat59 in Torbay

The most delicious burgers I’ve ever eaten, beef is so juicy, full of flavour, all the ingredients are fresh and there is not too much bread , fav burger place! This time tried halloumi fries and they are genuinely the best I’ve ever eaten! Cozy atmosphere and great service ! PS pickle back shot is really worth trying ! Yummy!

I’ve ordered from this restaurant now twice and both times I’d rate it as the best burgers I’ve ever had. It’s not cheap but I believe you’re getting good value for what you are paying for.

Food was really nice, went for the truffle shuffle burger and it was lovely. Good music and chilled atmosphere. Would recommend!

One of the best burgers we’ve had in a long time - unique flavor combinations (the shuffle truffle was our favorite, just swapped the blue cheese as I don’t like it) and best of all, they do gluten-free options; the patties are gf and they have decent gluten-free buns as well. They don’t mention this on the menu yet (but apparently plan on re-launching their menu to list all options), but I called them beforehand to confirm after reading a review here. The only downside is that you have to order fries separately, but it’s worth it ;) Definitely recommend!

Fantastic truffle shuffle burger and fabulous martinis. And the staff are lovely. Would highly recommend if you like a burger and cocktails.

First time visit albeit for collection rather than eating in. Was aware of MEAT59 from their St Leonard's restaurant but had never got around to trying it due to the location. Online ordering very straightforward. Collection as requested. Everything was well packed ready for the short drive home. The mozzarella balls were lovely especially with the accompanying dip. We tried both vegan burgers. Wow. Why bother eating meat? The fries were also good. Proper. The fried chicken burger looked decent and the milkshake was a hit. Hard to fault really. Can't wait to return.

On a recent trip to Torquay, we visited this restaurant twice. The first visit was a takeaway consisting of Meat59 burger, Alabama Slammer chicken burger, 6 wings (3 hot sauce and 3 bourbon glaze), onion rings and rosemary salt fries. Everything was absolutely delicious. The Meat59 burger had a bit too much going on inside it (personal preference as I usually prefer fewer items inside my burger) but was still enjoyable. The wings were the highlight for us, especially the bourbon glaze which was beautifully sweet and sticky).For the second visit we sat in and had a Born and Bred burger, Ju-Se-Yo chicken burger and, again, 6 wings but all bourbon glaze this time. We loved all of it!If you like burgers this place is a must try. Highly recommend all of the above especially the bourbon glaze wings.

Delicious burgers and great vibe (good tunes, rustic, casual feel) - staff really friendly and great service. Interesting selection (we had the classic and the Korean inspired one). Would definitely recommend and would definitely come here again for a good old burger and fries!
