Number 7 Fish Bistro in Torbay

Excellent Fish stock/soup/bouillabaisse main course a trio of fish lacked substance, vegetables and garlic mash pretty poor. Service good as was ambiance, cost would have been fair if the food quality met expectation.

One of the best seafood I've ever eaten. Fresh n' delicious. If dish isn't on the menu just ask and they will make it. Came back next day for more ;)

What an Amazing Place to eat.Brilliant food, great atmosphere awesome choice of Fish.There is a large choice of starters and Mains available from the Menu and The Specials Boards.The staff on duty that lunchtime were brilliant and so knowledgeable of the menu and the fish. Paul, Harry and Emily.Paul is very busy, very punchy and has a great sense of humour if you listen.There is a good wine choice available too and the staff are easily able to recommend for you if you so wish.The food came in good time and was of exceptional quality, both starters and mains.The dessert of apple crumble was also of high quality.This is a brilliant restaurant with high quality service and exceptional food.So worth a FIVE STAR review.Do not believe some of the rubbish written elsewhere, I understand we are all different, this is a place you should visit and you will surely enjoy the quality of your meal too.Book ahead to avoid disappointment.I will be returning in September 2021 when next in Torquay.Brilliant restaurant backed up with brilliant service and food and wine choice and quality to match.

Breathtaking views over the harbour and a fabulous collection of wines. We were really lucky in getting a table due to a cancellation and sat upstairs in the wine bar for dinner. The gentleman working this area was brilliant and nothing was too much trouble for him. Our fresh seafood was delicious. My partner had the crab and cod whilst I had king scallops and lemon sole. Both were beautifully cooked. Sadly, I have to say that the side dish of vegetables was very poor and lacked any thought. 2 new potatoes, 3 tiny chopped pieces of leek, some sweetcorn and one slice of beetroot each was very basic. Understandably the fish was the centrepiece and it was delicious.

We were delayed on the A380 but Paul did not make us feel uncomfortable about this as we arrived late. The surroundings were beautiful and the staff wonderfully attentive.Our food was stunning both to look at and eat. It was all cooked to perfection.We also took advantage of the wine bar in the evening and the bar staff were incredibly knowledgeable about all the wines they had in stock.. the wine tree tasters were fabulous.

Amazing service efficiency was precise, found a seat for us last night to find it was double booked and still fitted us in, manger also pointed out I was double ordering on my starter and mains which was very good, if you love seafood try this bistro!!!!

What can I say other than "This is the BEST Fish Restaurant" I have ever eaten at !! and I have eaten in some of the best around the world in places like Fremantle Perth, Sydney, London etc,Starters were amazing, Scallops only for my wife which were cooked to perfection !! and I had the Mussels in a White wine and cream sauce with King Prawn & Scallops and I must say it was the tastiest starter I have eaten (see picture)Mains - Wife had the 3 fish special with Turbot, Plaice & Cod which she said was utterly amazing, and I had the Cod with Tempura King Prawns & Tempura Scallops with light soy dip which seriously had me salivating just looking at it .... and the taste ... PERFECTION.I would come to Torquay again JUST to eat at No7 Fish Restaurant and if I could give a Michelin award they would thoroughly deserve it ... Brilliantly hosted by Paul, Staff attentive without being over bearing and just perfect food from the brilliant chefs !!You need to book it .... and normally 2-3 weeks notice at least !! I wonder why .... :) wait until you taste it and you will see... Fantastic and thanks Paul for the superb eating experience.

Everything was good apart from the gentleman in white shirt and shorts . He was to pushy to take the order we couldn't keep up how fast he was taking the order, we didn't feel comfortable there was lot to choose from.So little bit disappointed with that. Therefore 3 stars is for the waiter.

I was very excited to dine at No7. The crab was so good I ended up eating a whole one. The mussels, scallops and prawns in the seafood platter were incredible, I could have drunk the sauce with a straw it was so delicious. Local fresh fish cooked perfectly, can't go wrong. Not a cheap meal but you pay for quality and the skill required to cook fish this well. Just brilliant.

This restaurant certainly didn't disappoint. We were lucky enough to get a table during our stay in Torquay. Amazing food, fabulous service, they certainly know their fish!!! You have got to go!!!
