Orange Tree Restaurant in Torbay

Excellent food and service, the menu left us with more choices that we wanted than we could eat. Good varied wine list. The restaurant is very comfortable and the staff bent over backwards to make it an enjoyable experience. Well worth a visit.

The food is amazing, as is the wine selection. We had the famous tasting menu, and it was delicious, each morsel a perfect combo of beautiful to look at, with tasting like heaven. Highly recommended, we will be back in a year, hopefully.

This place feels straight out of the 70's it just missing napkins rings, foil butter and a bread basket on the table. Food, starters and mains very uninspiring, I ended up with Gnocchi in tomato sauce which was more like something for a toddler, terrible. Service excellent. A Vegan chocolate slice was totally amazing, desserts here seem very strong.

Super service and first class food

I would highly recommend this lovely restaurant. The food was delicious and extremely well presented. I had scallops, which were divine followed by fillet steak with a tasty sauce and it was melt in the mouth superb! The cheeseboard completed our lovely meal. .The service was impeccable and we were even asked if we needed a taxi as it had started to rain.Will definitely visit again when in Torquay 😁Jenifer and Lisa

Coming from London , I been to many restaurants including the Michelin stars , I can honestly say this restaurant is so fine prepared and the food is exceptional, I have no hesitation to recommend any one to come to this lovely restaurant, excellent place excellent food , as an Italian this be my choice when I come again. Well done guys .

Food was absolutely amazing! Did the tester menu at £95 each and it was excellent up to the main. Arrived at 7pm All dishes came out in a very reasonable time with wine to match. Then at 8pm we seemed to have been forgotten about we waited 1 hour and 30 minutes for desert, we queried it a few times and just got "we'll check that for you" it took so long that we ended up asking for the bill and leaving before being able to try the desert. I personally don't think waiting over an hour for your last dish is acceptable.So food was excellent, customer service and time keeping very unsatisfactory. If the last dish (desert) had come as quick as all the other dishes, we would have stayed for drinks after. But we had another booking at 9.30pm which we were half hour late for.

This was a great place to visit.All the food delicious and beautifully presented.Staff and owner were very attentive and we wasn't left wanting for anything.It was my wife's birthday and and we booked last minute.We would happily visit again any day and will next time we visit the area

Amazing food, great hosting 10/10I would recommend this place to anyone visiting Torque, the owner came out to greet us, ensured we were happy with the food and also provided us with some free after dinner treats.There is a great food selection, good wines and it all tasted as great as it looked.

Had a wonderful Birthday meal. The service received from ALL staff was excellent.The food and wine was outstanding.Rarely do you get scallops and steak cooked so perfectly. Extensive wine list. The birthday touches and the kindness from the owner and staff made for a very special evening. The restaurant was full at all times, with regulars and locals, which shows just what a gem this is. We will return with our vegan friends, who also have a good choice of vegan food and wine. Fantastico!!
