Shiraz in Torbay

Extremely expensive. 5 too 6 pounds a pint of lager. Staff aragant and ignorant. Food like cardboard. Wouldn't recommend to anybody.

Visited on a Friday night ...appalling service , staff seem more interested in chatting with their mates and flirting with each other to bother serving customers, £7 cocktails came out as draught and mostly foam, wouldn't recommend, there are other much better venues.

What a bunch of miserable staff, if they smiled their face would literally drop. They just plonk food down and collect empty plates/glasses without so much as a word. No 'enjoy your food' or 'how was it'. Food was very basic, coke was flat not worth the price.

Never felt welcome, went in there for drinks around 8pm, quite a few people already in there,yet staff started clearing the outside putting the tables a way cleaning the drip trays and turning the lights off,so unfriendly won't be going back.

Terrible waiter service. Sat with family at the table for an hour and after the food was delivered no one came to the table as we needed drinks and it was table service only. After waiting about a further half-hour and being totally ignored each time by our waiter and other waiters that came past I went to the bar and asked politely could we please order drinks and our waiter shouted at me "table service only" in a very high rude voice, I said but you are ignoring us, as we have asked you twice for drinks and you said in a minute and never came back? All the waiters still kept ignoring us and we waited a further 20 minutes and still, no one came to us? We do not like to make a fuss and felt we were discriminated against as we could see no other reason for the reason we were ignored at all times. Here's the funny thing we had to leave as we needed our children to at least get a drink somewhere, as we walked away our waiter rushed to the table to clean it. if only he paid as much attention to us when we were there? I do not usually write reviews, but had to write this one. If the management read this, maybe take note of the staff you employ. We are asked to holiday in the UK, but this is one of the reasons we might avoid it. I would give less than one star if I could and at least this will hopefully make other potential customers aware of this place.

Totally unorganised! Waited ages on drinks order, then someone asked if we had had our drinks yet.... this was about 20 minutes! Probably longer.... then our food order was about 40 minutes after that, wasn't a big order, a sandwich with chips and mini chicken bits with chips. We got our order, our chips arrived.... with salt on them, I hate salt so asked if I could get a fresh portion to which the response I got was... they come like that from the supplier ( with salt), pretty amazing for chips to be fried and come out with fresh salt sprinkled over them.... a total cop out! We won't be back!

I can only liken this restaurant to a bowling alley, the food was basic and pathetic, I paid a tenner for a burger that the bun was stale, burger had no flavour at all, bowling alley chips and the staff, Oh my god the staff, made me pay whilst I was walking to the toilet before my food had even come, didn’t bring me cutlery I had to eat my starter with my hands despite asking for them. Not the brightest sparks (polite though)All in all what you get vs what you pay (food quality&service) isn’t value for moneyMuch better choice around Torquay, I’d guess pretty much anywhere else, this will be the last time I come here

It was the only place that had space as everywhere else was fully booked. I should have still checked their reviews though as my experience was not amazing. There were only 2 tables and were were sat in the shade where it was cold. The waiting staff did not communicate with each other on multiple occasions resulting in being approached for the same thing more than once. Food arrived reasonably quick - it was just chips, I’d worry for anything else. Prices are fair but service needs serious improvement.

Amazing location right on the harbour, we sat down because a busker had taken up outside the bar. The staff member looked a little confused, gave me the wrong drink, but we were happy enough.

Pleasant sidewalk seating away from the main road. Selection of wines and lagers. Keg Kilkenny on tap.We had the fried seafood platter for two - you both need to be hungry to get through this large serving: garlic prawns, whiteboard, cod, crab cakes, calimari and the like. Comes with a garnish of salad.Complimentary WiFi, which is only just about workable when seated outside.
