Thai Chef Babbacombe in Torbay

Didn't get what I ordered. What I did get was greasy and just full of raw peppers and carrots. Yuk yukWon't order from here again. I hope the dustbin liked it

Ordered from here today, had mixed starter, rice and 2 curries, one massaman and one green Thai. Starter was lovely but the curries were horrendous! The massaman taste like plastic and the green Thai wasn't much better. When called to question this the woman on the phone said it was supposed to taste sour ? Well I have had a lot of thai curries and not once have the taste as vile as that. Sincerely hope I get my money back. Will not be ordering from there again.8 months on i thought id give them another try......Raw potatos and bamboo shoots.. when i rang to say the potatoes weren't cooked ..I was told they buy them in precooked?????? what ?you cant cook a potato ?? unbelievable ! don't just fob off peoples complaints, just apologies for making a mistake and cook the food properlyalso the mixer starters were burnt and cold they also said that they buy in all the mixed starters frozen, so they don't even make them ! What a joke.

Meal for two. Great value for money and really tasty food. Friendly owners

Have ordered from here before with no problems but this time the chicken in the Jungle Curry was grey/black. Phoned the restaurant to complain and was told that it was ‘normal’ chicken colour and that there was nothing they would do. The chicken was not burnt neither was it the dark meat of the chicken, I can tell the difference and this was meat that had already gone off!Finally got a refund just for the curry via JustEat but whole meal was ruined as I couldn’t face eating the rest after that. Won’t be ordering from here again as I believe their food hygiene is questionable. Forced to rate one star in order to post review. Be very wary of this place.

Food is top notch. Fresh, spicy and tastes really authentic. Head and shoulders above the other Thai places in Torquay that I've tried.

This is my second time order. I have 2 stars as the first time that’s I ordered it was not ok! The foods was too salty and Som tam was not good at all! I couldn’t eat it. Today I just ordered to see if it’s better or give them a chance but it was not good at all. I ordered chicken satay! The sauce satay sauce tastes like it had expired 3-4 days ago and pad see iew was so salty!!! Also the Tom kha was too creamy . This is not good experience at all. I’m really disappointed.hope you guys make it better.

The food here is just Amazing! If you don't mind the simple surroundings, just go there and eat! Very busy with regular customers and all we could hear from the neighbouring tables how wonderful the food was! Not licensed but you are welcomed to take your own drinks!

Amazing food, my Thai fix has been for filled. Portions are huge, so be careful on the set menus. Alan and his girlfriend are so friendly. Can't wait to come back to Torquay just to see you to.

The owners and staff here were so friendly. Such a welcoming and warm environment to be in. The food was really fresh and every person in our 8 person group was really impressed. This is a relatively new resturant from what the owner told me. I imagine they will do very well and I can only wish them all the best. Will definitely be back when staying in Torquay again!No alcohol served here but we was told before hand and was able to bring our own beverages in.

Hospitable and friendly owner and staff. The dishes are excellent. We've tried some of the curries, the pad see ew, salt and pepper squid and Tom yum soup. We went twice while on holiday. Just remember to pick something up from the off-licence on the way if you want as alcohol is byo.
