Visited in on a cold day in March. They were having carpets laid. The staff are friendly. Choices of 2 Ales Bath Ales Gem and Tribute. They have Guiness, San Miguel, Kronenburg, Korev and Fosters. Also a couple of Thatchers and some ciders.I had a mature cheese and pickle sandwich which was very filling and full of grated cheese.Good carvery and choice of food from bar food to a full menu restaurant available too. There is plenty of seating outside.Certainly worth trying when you are in Babbacombe.Dogs are welcome inside in certain places.

We has a carvery, it is the best we have ever tried, we also did not book a table but they catered for us. Friendly staff, clean and tidy, well worth the money and would highly recommend.

On arrival staff friendly and helpful seated us quickly.Sunday roast!Food here is outstanding top notch food.I don't think there was a thing on my plate I didn't not enjoy 100%. 4 stars as there could be slight improvement eg more veg options. Price was fair for the quality of food. Will 100% eat there again when I'm in the area.

This place is popular both in the holiday season, and out of it by local people. Friendly staff and good range of pub fayre and proper beer, including a carvery. Good value, plenty of room. It is quite high up with great views over the bay.

Wonderful location - great uninterrupted seaview from our room (5). Food in restaurant was quite good and reasonably priced. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Room was clean and of a good size - bed comfortable. Shower lacked power. Larger tv would have been appreciated. All in all a very enjoyable 3 day break and we hope to return.

Had a midweek carvery. Not a huge amount of choice but good enough to make a decent meal. The staff were very kind helping people carry plates. All customers were asked to put plastic gloves on before serving themselves. Carvery is served at lunchtime daily.

Terrible service from the manager, came here for a family meal and was told we could either order at the bar or table service, but when we went to the bar to order we were treated with bad temper and bad attitude. We ordered a glass of wine and the manager put ice in it so we asked for him to remove the ice and he threw the glass under the bar in temper and smashed it. This made my niece extremely uncomfortable and intimidated to the point where we had to persuade her to stay, I confronted the manager about his behaviour but he offered no apology or showed no remorse. The manager is a bully. I do not recommend this venue for customer service especially from the manager. He had every opportunity to come over and clear the air but did not take it.1 star for the food.

The member of staff behind the bar, who turned out to be the manager, displayed very intimidating and rude behaviour towards us. I found this totally unacceptable and unprofessional and would encourage the owners to send him on a customer service course. I will not be returning because of this one particular person who made us feel extremely uncomfortable.

On first glance it seemed a very nice and friendly place. It accepted dogs which was a bonus for us as we take our dogs on holiday with us.We ordered a couple of pints of real ale and two pork fettuccine dishes. The fettuccine dishes had lots of flavour just a shame the pork had a lot of fat on it.We then ordered two more pints but left before finishing because I overheard one of the bar staff make a rude comment about me. I had noticed a seagull outside destroying a table so in a jovial way said "seagull attack, seagull attack". One staff member said I think she has had too many real ales, the other replied "who (other female colleague name) or". I then heard the first colleague say "Or". I was the only female in the room drinking real ale, and possibly in their eyes, making a scene. Hence I felt like I should leave as I didn't feel comfortable anymore.I wasn't the only person this person was rude too. He was very rude with an elderly lady who asked him a question and he turned his back on her and walked away. A gentleman enquired about a reception and he was told abruptly "we don't have a reception" and walked away from the gentleman. Was hoping to find one place in Torquay we could actually feel accepted and comfortable with the dogs and enjoy some good food, but we are still look
