Lovely restaurant in a beautiful Victorian villa, very stylish and the food is delicious!

Beautiful hotel, rooms are tastefully designed and very comfortable with reasonable rates. We loved our room with a private terrace. The restaurant was a real delightful experience! The food was high quality and delicious! All of the staff are very warm, friendly and accommodating! Especially Marcio! We asked to meet the chef who cooked our meals on the night we dined, Andy was such a lovely man and humble despite his obvious skills and attention to detail in the kitchen. I would recommend anyone to stay and dine here, you will not be disappointed!! ❤

Amazing food and service, can't fault it at all. One veggie and one meat eater and we both had such an exceptional meal. All of the staff managed the balance between friendly and professional and were brilliant, we felt very welcome. Would highly recommend and hope to return in the future. Thank you!

So this was our 3rd meal in Torbay and the other two at Ollies and Small Plates were exceptional. My starter of goats cheese was nice as were my wife's scallops.Her main of cod was nice but my fillet of beef was all show and little substance. It wasn't enough to complain about and whilst it was cooked .med rare as pet order it was quite tasteless and the size of a roast potato.For the money, I don't care if it was fine dining, when the main is the least impressive part of the meal, the meal is wrong.I wouldn't go back.

It appears to be the place to eat in Torquay - so good we ate two nights on the trot!. Chef was great with dietary requests. Quality of food was exceptional and beautifully presented. Staff were a delight.

Absolutely divine. The best meal that we've had in the bay for a long time. There is nothing that we disliked, from the moment of making the reservation to leaving.The food could not be faulted in any way, the wine was paired beautifully, the service from front of house was exceptional.All round, a delight. Many thanks.

Lovely setting but service and food didn’t meet the expectation.We visited here on recommendation that the food was exceptional and it was a lovely restraunt. Initial impressions were good with it being very well presented, having a bespoke independent feel.However, at the main meal which I had lamb and a side of fondant potatoes, I was told that my potatoes were accidentally given to another table which resulted in getting them around 10 mins later when I had pretty much finished my meal and they were too hot to eat! It also appeared that our food was waiting to be served with another table, as a waiter said before your not in a rush are you? Your main is going to be a bit longer than expected, and was then brought out with the other tables as they had a starter.Very well presented and tasty food however not a lot of quantity and the quality of lamb wasn’t great. This was discussed with the waiter when the plates were collected and it was obvious there was a problem with the meat being so red, grissly etc. He informed the chef and money was subsequently knocked off the bill but I was informed that the chef said this has been happening quite a lot with the lamb meat lately! Not what you want to hear.Would I pay another visit to give it a second chance? Ye probably, but with what the restraunt is trying to do and the prices, needs improvement.

Absolutely beautiful food in very comfortable surroundings. Staff very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu and wines. Would have loved to visit again but they were fully booked. Best meal I've had in a long time, would revisit torquay purely to dine there again.

Tables pretty tight together here, menu very promising, but items appearing super quick after ordering, giving the impression dishes already prepped and siting around. My partners Cod was barely warm but cooked as though it had been siting around for a while.
