The Blue Walnut Cafe Bar & Cinema in Torbay

A Standout Staple of Devon!We've been coming to this fantastic café for a couple of years now, and have always enjoyed the food and the friendly staff. My wife always orders their excellent kedgeree, which is one of their best dishes in our opinion, as it's very well balanced with seasonings and ingredients. I've sampled most of their main menu items, all of which are great. Today they had a special burger with a Devon blue-cheese , which I had to try. I have to say this was the highlight for me, as the entire burger was perfectly seasoned and cooked; I believe this was the best restaurant burger I've had in a very long time!The place is small, but don't let it fool you. The food is outstanding, and their cocktails are awesome. I'm looking forward to enjoying one of their tapas movie nights!

Stopped here after arriving at the station. Lovely little spot for lunch with a cute garden out the back. Great service, lovely food. Recommend!

Another great location for coffee or more. The coffee is really good here plus they do some good home cooked food. Lovely staff tops off a well earned positive review. Oh, and they have a very useable outdoor space if you are worried about mixing with people at this point in time.

A great independent cafe, quality ingredients, great tasting food and good service.

Fan-bloomin-tastic. Popped in for a morning coffee and it seemed lovely so went back for afternoon drinks. It was so nice we went back for dinner too..delicious and made to feel wonderfully valued and nothing was too much trouble.Would wholeheartedly recommend.

Fantastic service, cute quaint cafe with a surprising variety in their menu!

We attended for the Manhatten Shorts Film Festival which consisted of 10 shortlisted films where the audience could vote on their favourites to win the competition.We arrived just in time to get some food and a beer prior to the evening kicking off.There was a short intermission, long enough to refresh your drinks and stretch your legs.Overall, a great venue with a lovely cinema which should be used by more people.

What a fabulous little hidden gem! Had the cheese ploughmans sitting in the lovely garden, heaven, great food and friendly staff. You really need to check this place out 😋
