The Holmans Courtyard cafe in Torbay

Comprehensive menu, very helpful staff, good value, pot of tea comes with a jug of hot water, prompt service, has both a covered and open seating areas in the courtyard. Hot sausage and bacon baguette piled high. Sausages not the best, bacon and homemade coleslaw v tasty, and shame about the scruffy surrounding walls. They'd benefit from a nice seaside mural to hide the graffiti. You never know.

One of our absolute favourites in the bay. A hidden gem. Always busy, but always exceptional food, large portions and very friendly service. It's what keeps us going back so often.

Excellent cafe, good food at reasonable prices, coffee is good and staff very friendly. I try to get here at least once a leave.

Very slow service, 40 min wait , ( once ordered) Pie crust was so hard unable to cut or eat...... 90%of plate was lettuce, and salad was warm.... All in all not happy...

accidentally stumbled across this place for breakfast when the issac merrit was closed, it has a really really good breakfast, i have always recommended grand central for breakfast but this place is easily on par with it, an amazing choice and oh god the breakfast is really great.If you are a smoker then you can sit outside and they have an ashtray so you can enjoy a smoke after your food, if you don't smoke then you can go inside an be well away from the smoke!Try this place because you won't be disappointed!You might see reviews about the food but just ignore them, just the typical complainers who can't cook their children a proper breakfast.

I stopped for a nice coffee. It is off the beaten track, so not on the high street, but it is well furnished and very clean and tidy. Lots of seating options. I sat outside under their big umbrellas. Dog friendly cafe too with water bowls for thirsty little hounds. Friendly staff and I imagine it’s very popular with the locals. I’ll be going back 👍
