My wife and I recently visited the Kent's with our supper club for a meal. We are both long-standing vegetarians and with the limited choice available selected the roasted cauliflower with curried gnocchi, spinach and sauce. We were looking forward to it, but were very disappointed. The cauliflower seemed quite airy, with not much to it. Also there were just four small gnocchi 'chips' spaced around this, with a tiny bit of spinach. This was hardly a meal. It was just as well we had ordered a side dish of vegetables. The were the only satisfying part of the meal. The dish was attractively presented, but there was little substance to it, only a bit of cauliflower and chips swimming in coconut sauce. It needed something like lentils, beans or tofu to give it that substance, and some protein. We were relieved our ice cream desert was enjoyable.Apart from the food, we found the Kent's was very welcoming with friendly and helpful staff. However, we are unlikely to return unless the vegetarian options are much improved.

Love this place! Amazing food (especially the Tapas selection!) Lots of choice for drinks too and an all round nice atmosphere! 👍🏼😊

Nice, friendly pub located in Wellswood, Torquay.Varied menu - we went for the homemade beef burgers, which were of very good quality, and really filling. If building your own burger appeals to you there is a wide variety of extras and cheeses you can add.Wish they hadn't been so filling in a way, as would have loved to try one of the desserts on the menu.Good range of cocktails and flavoured botanicals as well. Loved the signed, framed John Cleese 'The Germans' sketch from Fawlty Towers on one of the pub's walls.

Nicest pub I've ever been to for food. Service was good, the choice was fantastic, I was really tempted by atleast four mains and most of the tapas dishes. Overall couldn't fault it based on my single trip there.

Not brilliant for the cost .....lamb was fatty and not very hot. Vegetables were fine Fruit Crumble was a large bowl of stewed hot fruit with crumble sprinkled on top Less fruit would have been better ..but that's just my opinion ..portion size was plentiful

Really nice restaurant, very tasty food. Burger Wednesday is also great value for money. Worth a visit

Overall this pub was quite good the only reason I have given it 3 stars is beacuse the order. At first we ordered of the app but after waiting about 20 mins they said it didn't go through which is fine because its not their fault and then the second time we ordered we didn't get the right things we asked for but we were not fussed and then the third time we ordered they were missing one of my family members order but we got the item straight after . The staff are very welcoming and even though the order got messed up the food was very good and I recommend getting curly fries with cheese and the fried calamari rings anyway thats my experience I would probaly go again and I recommend going there for a visit hope this helped have a nice day!

Stopped in for lunch after visiting the caves. We had a mix of burgers and tapa’s between our group - all were really nice, fresh, well cooked and tasty. Can’t recommend the meatballs enough - some of the best I’ve ever had outside of homemade so you might want to order more than 1 portion !

Plugs at the tables is always a winner for me, lovely pub

Popped in after a visit to Kents Cavern. Friendly staff were very welcoming. The pub is light & modern with good music. We were lucky to visit on a Thursday where there was a special on Tapas & Cocktails. My partner ordered the vegan mushrooms & gyozas with a strawberry Collins & Woo Woo Cocktails. I ordered the New York deli steak burger & my daughter the ribs (is a chefs special which should be part of the menu). The ribs came out as a mountain, they were plentiful. All food was cooked to perfection. The New York burger is similar in taste to a Salt Beef sandwich. The mushrooms with the vegan garlic mayo & gyozas were excellent. For dessert we ordered the Brownie & Ice cream (both vegan) & the Cream Brulee cheese cake (again a chef special which really should be on the main menu - it was delicious). The pub itself is very clean & has plug/USB sockets at the tables which is fantastic for travellers. Parking locally is good with many free spots if you can get one. Anywhere we visit now will be compared to the standards set here 10/10
