The Local Gastro Bar and Grill in Torbay

Absolutely brilliant. Myself and my grandmother (who is in a power wheelchair) just popped in after a few disappointing letdowns from other restaurants, the service and dishes we were given was fantastic. Definitely a gem hidden away.

Just had the most amazing brisket topped burger and pulled pork fries at The Local. Friends had other burgers and. Pizza, all were top notch.Food and service were fantastic. Can not recommend this place enough.Just been back again and still great food.

Great atmosphere, great service and great food. They let us in to eat late which was awesome as we were looking for somewhere good to eat as all the places we tried were either kitchen closed or restaurant closed. Thank you so much for a pleasant end to our day

The service and food was efficient, friendly, of a high quality. On speaking to the staff and owner, food is locally sourced, prepped on the premises and Andy makes his own sauces to compliment the tasty food. Will definitely be going back, can't recommend this local eatery enough. The front of house staff, Steve, is informative on the food and wines to go with the meal.👍

5 of us called in on a Saturday night round about 7:30 we ordered 5 starters and 5 main courses plus a round of drinks which came to around £150 pacifically went there after reading the reviews. of which I wasn't quite impressed with the starters however the waiter was very polite and very obliging

Awesome interior design. But the service sucks . Didn't get a menu just told to look at the wall menus which had a bad selection and in my mind from what I had seen being served where all over priced . Then another group came in and instantly got given menus. I asked the waiter and he said "WE DON'T PROMOTE THE OTHER MENU " LOL WHAT A JOKE. i then asked for the menu which had a vast selection of low cost food . What a bunch of money grabbing c###s!!

Excellent fresh food and and service went the extra mile for us. Went 2 nights in a row and will definitely be back. Thanks guys!

We had a lovely meal there on a Saturday night. The burger was to die for and the fish pie was delicious with lots of lovely fish. The puddings were also amazing - I had the red velvet cheesecake which I would highly recommend!

We had an evening meal here. Sirloin Steak and a 20oz mixed grill that must have been 40oz . Wine is reasonable at £15 a bottle and good wine too. Service is very good, all the staff are friendly and helpful. Got to try this place if you are lucky to get the chance.
