Yates Torquay in Torbay

Amazing place ! Good pint, served by Emily and conner lovely staff 😀

Good prices and deals had cod and chips as have a very limited pallet due to health reasons fish was very dry no taste not sure it was cod. The other 4 diners had wings mac and cheese and smothered rump steak and steak pie they loved the smothered steak said best steak all holiday and wings mac and cheese good too my sister couldn't eat the pie lid it would have broken her teeth but the pie itself was lovely.

Visited this pub today whist holidaying in Torquay. The staff were lovely and Maurice was particularly helpful in telling us about the different ciders on offer. He was also very jovial and we told him we’ll see him tomorrow as we are going for a meal because the food looked delicious.

We went into Yates and Jay served us she was so polite and bubbley and nothing was to much trouble she never stopped working the food from the kitchen was lovely and cooked by Jason and Mikey. It was that nice we went back the next day.

Rubbish service, poor food.Long wait even though we were the only ones eating. Messed up on the meal chosen. Bought out 1 meal then had to wait an additional 20 minutes for the rest. Wish I could say they were worth the wait but they were cold, veg was hard and whole meal was tastless.

Food is quite cheap. Beer is good and they have a selection of cocktails.The Bar maids in there now know my name and what I drink and I've only been in torquay for 3 days.Mixed grill was great

Broad range of ciders & offered a sample of one I hadn't tried before, not so common these days. Friendly service & friendly prices so I'm likely to return. Bumped up from 4 to 5 stars after a few hours more reflection. Seems to be getting things right in a competitive area.

Great food and the cocktails were amazing especially the Purple rain.Great friendly staff. Still can't believe we won a lot of money on two of your slot machines. Apologies we put two of them out of action emptying one and the other packed up too. Looking forward to the slot vendor contacting us about the money owed .

Visited today as the restaurant we wanted to go to was closed - and I'm glad it was!We were really impressed with the menu choices, it was a struggle to choose as it looked so good. Food prices are also friendly on the pocket!Service was very swift and friendly and one of the best parts - this was one of the cleanest pubs I've seen.The only small drawback is the alcohol prices which are slightly higher, however we would definitely return to sample more of the menu!

Excellent friendly service. Good selection of beers and ciders, also cocktails.CAMRA members discount on beer. Food is good value pub grub which we could not fault. Will definitely use again when in Torquay.
