Country Cousins in Torridge

The food here is delicious.I did find it awkward having the food served up for me though ~ I prefer to serve myself as my portion sizes would vary massively. This puts me off returning.That said, the service of the staff is lovely, the food it good quality and the prices are reasonable.And as for the dessert trolley.... out of this world!

Visited here last night, hungry and in want of good food. We weren't disappointed!! The carvery was absolutely delicious and some of us had food envy over the gammon one of our party had. Even though we were absolutely stuffed the desserts looked to die for so we had to stuff that in too!! All staff were delightful and extremely covid safe. Thank you all xx

Hi guys. 👋My friend and I were remembering someone who had recently passed, she used to come here with my friend and her son, so it seemed a fitting tribute.We both decided on a carvery, and a drink to toast our departed friend. The staff were very kind, polite and helpful, we never felt like we had been forgotten nor rushed, so we could just relax. 👍 The service was very helpful, food was awesome 😋😋, my friend was soooooh looking forward to the desert trolley, her face was a picture 😍, and prices were most acceptable for the 2 of us - in my opinion! 👍The whole place was just the right temperature, comfortable and clean.We both thoroughly enjoyed our visit/meal, considering the context of why we were there, and I'm sure we will go back again at some point!Thank you to all the staff! 😊💐Stay safe and have fun. 👍

Called on the off chance for a carvery. Very few people in the restaurant. The staff were very friendly and all wearing masks. The tables were divided by see through Covid screens. We waited a short while for the vegetables to come out as they keep them hot when it's not busy. We both had beef and a good selection of vegetables served by the waitresses. The food was good and tasty. Vegetables were hot. However, the beef could have been hotter. Cost £11.95 each.

We were just driving through Westward Ho when we decided to eat. Found this place on the off chance, clean, bright and airy, friendly staff, one even offered to watch our dog so we could get our carvery together and the carvery was fresh, well cooked and very nice. Will definitely go back when in the area again.

Food was delicious. Only downside was the battered fish wasn't filleted so my Mum struggled to eat it. Carvery looked amazing so we will be back!

Was very looking forward to eating here as I have heard such amazing things about it and read great reviews.I had fish pie which I would say was average quite expensive and nothing special to shout about.The real ale was golden pig and was flat as dish water and quite honestly didn't taste good either.I chose the pie as everything else was very over priced and we had similar quality food accross the road at the waterfront for a lot less cost and a decent pint.Not a good experience for us I'm afraid.

Country cousins the food is excellent very good choice either carvery or off the grill. Kids meals very good too. Desserts very moreish. Very pleasant staff

This place is fantastic, quality food and outstanding staff, I had the rib and chicken platter, massive does not do it justice, amazing. The dessert trolley is a must, I had the trifle and to be honest I could have had it again and again, it was fantastic. Give this a go, you will not be disappointed.
