Always has a good range of well cooked and presented meals, just not on a Monday lunchtime! Vegetarian and vegan offers, and good local meats too. Very yummy, dog friendly and human friendly :)

Lovely country pub, hadnt been there for years. Very busy there due to May Day celebrations. Food lovely and all staff helpful and happy.

Brilliant Pub with rooms and restaurant. Old charm with lovely feel to the place. Great selection of menus - food really good. Beers excellent with some local ales in casks.Staff and landlord made us feel welcome from our very first visit. Every time we go we get lovely greetings as though we have been going for years. Feels good!

I have been looking for a place to stay in Eggesford and did consider booking here, but I have been informed that this establishment has a close relationship with the local hunt.I am sure that you are aware that hunting with dogs is illegal in the UK and yet you still choose to affiliate yourselves with this law breaking activity.Fortunately I have found other accomodation.. one of which the proprietor has true moral standing.

Yet again we had the pleasure of eating at the magnificent Duke of York food service as always fantastic added to one of the best pints in North devon. Well done John Trevor and all the staff 5 star.

I liked this place it has a lot of history on show . Had a roast dinner here which was ok but not as good as I was told it would be. On the plus side they are very good portions. The guy serving was very pleasant and helpful. I would recommend for service but not food. I have been here twice now and both times the Sunday roast was not great. I had heard the roast was second to nothing but I also believe the chef that worked there before covid has now left and that is probably the reason why the food isn't so great. Shame really, but I wouldn't go there for the food again, unfortunately.

Lovely dog friendly pub, great cosy atmosphere. Reduced menu atm as another chef needed but coping well with good few dishes. Had a good lunch!

Booked a table for a meal after we ran the Warhorse 10K. What can I say? The roast beef was incredible, the desserts were top notch and the service was friendly and swift. A great experience on what was, I'm sure, a busy day. Thank you!
