Excellent food brilliant old pub atmosphere

We arrived fairly late hoping for a Sunday roast and the young man at the bar kindly found us a table. Our lunch was very good, plenty of meat and vegetables and my chicken was delicious! Not over cooked or dry which is rare. All of it was piping hot too. The atmosphere was very nice, families and couples enjoying a quiet lunch with no tacky background music to drown conversation. A traditional pub with no frills but clean and tidy with helpful friendly staff. We aren't local living near the Tamar Valley as we do but it certainly is worth a drive out to visit again. A bit off the beaten track but that's good ! Thank you all at the Junction for a very nice meal. We will be back.

Great food, great staff, highly recommend and will definitely be returning when we are back this way. A word of warning book your table, we were lucky being very early in the evening they fitted us in. Oh and the portions are generous you might struggle to get a sweet in.

All ways enjoyed a good meal with accommodating staff but too many customers perched on stalls around the bar,I had to shout very loud to be served

Excellent hospitality from the host who opened up a room especially for my family and our dog.On top of this everyone was welcoming and the food was top notch.100 times better than Gino's in Camden London!!!!Next time we're back visiting family we'll be sure to return!!

We dined in this pub while staying nearby, and we wasn’t disappointed.. the food was absolutely delicious!! Really large portions..I had the half rack of ribs and my god they was absolutely delicious! And the owner made a point of talking to you and making you feel welcome.Lovely pub and would definitely recommend a visit if your in the area..

Good honest Devon pub with a welcoming, caring, genuine service and great tasty proper food. The lamb shank was very, very tasty - not the normal fall-off-the-bone-overcooked offering, but a real proper cut of meat really tasting of lamb. The stake and ale pie was also very juicy and tasty, though I was slightly disappointed it had a puff pastry top; still excellent. Ribs were also excellent, very meaty and a nice sauce. Chips great too. Simple but tasty side vegetables clearly freshly cooked. It took a while for the food to arrive but they already warn you about that and it's freshly cooked; it was worth the wait.We stopped for an early evening meal on the way back south from a day out at Bude; we'll definitely be back next time we do that trip.We sat out the front. The back of the pub has a garden of sorts but there were some odd noises and smells there, so I would definitely sit inside the pub or out the front.

What a genuinely lovely little pub! We visited whilst on holiday near by. Covid cautious and masks worn, one way system and table service in place. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, treated everyone as though you were a local. Despite being a busy Saturday evening, the staff were attentive and our food received in good time. The food was piping hot and delicious. I would've loved to have dessert, but the lasagna was so well portioned, it filled me up enough. Would visit again!
