Mr Chips in Torridge

We were visiting Bideford today and looking for somewhere to eat with our Labrador, Cooper. After being told no at several places, I rang Mr chips to see if we could go there. They said yes, but only at the front of the restaurant. On arrival we were welcomed in and as I’m in a wheelchair temporarily, swiftly had chairs removed to accommodate me. ( there are a couple of steps though. ) Turns out Cooper was their first dog allowed! ☺️. The food was well worth the visit too 😁

Tasty we had fish and chips staff very friendly . Even let me have some vinegar in a little tub so that the roe wasn't tainted. not over priced and efficient service.. recommend it

Ordered click & collect recently. Walked in and presented text message. Food was ready to go! Fantastic service and food delicious!

Did a click and collect which was so easy.. Ordered 2 X Med Cod and Chips, which to me was more like a large Cod.. Highly Recommend a visit

The opening hours say they close at 8pm. I came before 8pm and the place was shut… There was a member of staff outside that was quite rude when I was surprised to see the place shut before 8pm… I did quite enjoy using this place but I feel the male staff member I spoke to may need some extra training on 1 - not shutting up early and 2 - learning how to speak to customers properly.

We recently move to Bideford and after using Mr Chips a few times I have to say it is one of the best we gave ever had.it can get very busy up to 25 minutes wait but it us really worth it.You may want to do a click and collect.Try the home made tarta sauce.

Always busy, but service is quick, the team work fast to get the orders out. Fish and chips are tasty and the price is fair. Most definitely the best fish and chip shop in Bideford.

visited here a couple of years ago and had the best fish and chips ever.Unfortunately this time could of not been more different the service was poor and extremely slow. A big order had come in before us that looked like it threw the staff into chaos, the 3 staff did not look up once or acknowledge the large queue. When I did eventually get served the man was rude, in total I waited 40 minutes.I tried to buy a couple of sauces but again the staff just ignored me so when my order came I asked for the sauces and the man huffed and tutted then begrudgingly agreed because I said I had the right money. The curry sauce was bland and the tartare sauce disgusting and the rest of the food was averageSure they won’t miss me, but would never return!

I normally don’t leave reviews but after having fish from here i must admire,The best fish and chips I ever had.I would rate 10 stars if i could, good customer service, delicious food with great packing.Love from Birmingham♥️
