Great place! A very warm welcome, a good pint and a laugh. Highly recommended, looking forward to returning.

Had Sunday lunch here - it was fabulous - my elderly aunt, my dog and myself were made so welcome, with a biscuit for the dog. The roast dinner was excellent, real home cooking and the crispiest roasties…thoroughly recommend!

Nice pub food and the ale all very nice with a friendly landlady and staff.

Such a lovely place! Highly recommended, the food was amazing, delicious roast sunday, perfectly done, even our kids commended it was their best food in a while! 👍👍👍😃😃😃 Welcoming friendly atmosphere and very clean 👌❤️ We will be back! Thank you!

Lovely little pub, stopped in for an evening meal with the kids on Saturday - Lorraine and Tim really looked after us, great food and most welcoming!

Lovely little village pub. Friendly landlord,who knows how to keep a good pint of beer. If your in the area,it's well worth a visit. Enjoyed my frist visit this Christmas.

Decided on a final meal before we left for home, booked a table for 6.30, landlord was honest by telling us his staff start at 6.30, we got there early to have a drink first, so welcoming and friendly, ordered our meal, small selection which was plenty, when our meal arrived (which we didn't have to wait to long for) it was fantastic, my husband, ( who was a chef) commented on how well his steak was cooked to his specification , as for the rest, it was so good, a special atmosphere and so dog friendly, I highly recommend

As always a really great Sunday roast and a decent pint as a takeaway meal. Food served on proper plates with extra gravey supplied and still nice and hot to eat back at the caravan. Washed down with the Jailhouse hand pulled ale...what could be better.

Helpful staff, no nonsense food, Dartmoor Brewery beers. Bookings required as they're being reassuringly diligent with social distancing.
