Unfussy food in a barn-style country inn with high roof beams and a huge lawned garden with a pond.

Really nice clean, spacious but cosy feel to the place. Staff were friendly and efficient. Local Ales were spot on and even served in the correct branded glasses. Beef Roast dinner was very tasty and surprisingly reasonably priced. Will visit again before we leave Devon.

Beautiful spot for lunch. Food was plentiful and each of our three meals were tasty and well presented. The portions were large and quality very good. Although we initially thought it was a bit pricey, when we got our meals we thought they were good value. Particular shout out for the slow cooked lamb shoulder

We both had the small haddock and chips. Still a decent sized portion and it all tasted lovely and fresh. The mushy peas were delicious and had a real sweet taste to them. The homemade tartare sauce was very tasty too. The restaurant was nice and modern looking. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend.

Well this was a little treasure. Sadly the staff are masked up and insist you sit down to be served (coz Boris says ya can't catch it when not standing up)We called in on the off chance and after a bit of shuffling and chin stoking they accommodated us. Despite the initial welcome, once settled we sat on big sofas by an open fire.Decor is tasteful and modern and there's a cute little thatched roof above the bar.Food was delicious and really good value for money. They lost a star for the staff and the veg not being quite the right green.Veg was a nice selection but could have been a little more contemporary.Dessert choices not extensive.

Really super restaurant. Food was great and not over priced. We were a party of 11 and all our food came at the same time. Staff were friendly and accommodating , all in all a fantastic night. Highly recommended

Visited during the evening, 4 adults 2 children. Children's menu very good value for money. Our adult meals were extremely good, very tasty. Fish and chips husband had, the fish very fresh and he thoroughly enjoyed it. Daughter had the rack of ribs, she couldn't eat them all so her husband had to help. Staff really helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Well worth visiting and good value for money.

Booked this for my daughters wedding anniversary, 6 of us went. Lovely restaurant in a beautiful setting overlooking lovely gardens and a lake, not visible from window but you can walk up to it. We all had various starters, ham hock, prawns, cheese garlic bread, deep fried haloumi, all received generous portions and all starters delicious. Main course we all had different things, crispy duck with hoi sin sauce, ribs, lamb pie, fish and chips all really generous portions and all absolutely delicious, we all cleared our plates. For sweet we had, strawberry cheesecake, sticky toffee pudding, berries and meringue and creme brulee a d chocolate brownie with rocky road ice cream. All delicious, only one criticism was the biscotti was so hard it could break your teeth. Most of the staff very pleasant but one waitress should learn to smile and be a bit more polite, not just plonk cutlery on table in a huffy Manor. We really enjoyed our evening and would definitely return, the food was amazing and it was fully booked which created a nice atmosphere. Also check out the ladies toilets, really fun toilets, for you to find out about.

Lovely pub, beautifully decorated with great views out the back. Went for lunch with family and the food was nice. Incredibly limited for vegetarians though. There wasn't a single vegetarian main so the 2 veggies had to make a meal with starters and sides. I've of rated lower for this reason if not for the place itself.

Lovely place. Easy access. Choice of eating in an attractive conservatory-like extension or outside. The rack of ribs was the meatiest I have ever had, and I'm a big ribs fan. My partner loved the tender beef brisket. Stupidly we shared the antipasto platter as a starter, which was flavoursome and big! Thoroughly recommend the Rydon Inn!

Nice place, great freindly helpful staff, menu was bit boring and random, not much for vegiterians, and prices are bit pricy for a pub, however I would gladly go back and recommend people to go there.
