Tea on the Green in Torridge

Super scones with so much clotted cream. Quick attentive service and quirky crockery. All served with a great view. The other cakes were superb too. Great value and quality.

Lovely and cosy little place with a great vibe and original theme.We had cream tea and the scones were massive and delicious! They also had oat milk!Kind and friendly staff, we forgot a beanie and the young lady came out chasing us to return it, so kind!Definitely recommend!

We have visited a few times; every time we come to Devon and are never disappointed. The cakes taste like cakes should! It was the highlight of my holiday! The only annoyance, was that from the street it isn't clear whether it's table service or whether you have to wait to get a table or if you grab a free table. Some people left and we got their table, but then I overheard a waitress say that there was a queue and that phone numbers were being taken and you'd be called when a table was available. This was not clear at all. Also, how could they actually enforce this if people don't know and it's easy for new customers to grab an empty table. Silly system. Lovely cafe and cakes though. Exactly what I want in a cafe!

The good reviews that Tea on the Green get are all true! From that cake cabinet stuffed full of big, fat, juicy looking cakes to the cream teas with the biggest, softest, freshest scones with lashings of cream and jam, my only advice to you is starve yourself before you go in there. You get a proper job pot of tea too!

Absolutely massive scones! Huge! So soft and fluffy and deliciously fresh! Great view from the outside seating and a lovely cosy atmosphere inside. Definitely give this cafe a go if it’s cream tea you are looking for! We will be back again soon to try out their huge cakes for too!

Best cream tea in Westward Ho! The scones are huge but thankfully they do takeaway if your eyes are bigger than your belly

The size of the scones is immense! Great size portion of cream and delicious jam to go with them. The 'sharing' hot chocolate is also something to try. Brilliant place.

Absolutely adored this little cafe! Very rarely feel the need to leave a review but the service was amazing and they catered very well for Gluten Free as well. We were sat by the counter and everything that came out looked amazing 😍
