Stayed here for 2 nights whilst walking the southwest coast path. Could not have chosen a better place. Staff very friendly and room clean and bed very comfortable. We ate both nights in the restaurant and food very good, catered for us very well, (vegan and vegetarian). The owner very kindly picked us up from Hartland quay and the end of our long day walking. Throughly recommend!

Went here for Sunday Lunch. Excellent food at a reasonably priced. Vegetarian friendly. Friendly staff, great service. Was very impressed with the in house pianist. Would of given 5 stars had it not been for the parking. Would highly recommend.

Really enjoyed our stay over the Easter weekend. Very friendly owner and staff. Great set up. Bright, clean room with really comfortable bed. Large patio beer garden with awesome views. Rustic 16th century pub with cozy fire place. Well priced. Good food. Best scotch egg I've had in ages. Well situated to explore local area.

I don't have anything bad too say about this gorgeous pub. We went with our kids (both under 2) and our dogs and they were so welcoming. The wood burning fire made the Room so cozy, their drinks were very reasonably priced and the staff were Lovely.

This was our 'local' during our 4 night stay in Hartland. A real pub atmosphere with darts pool and games. The ale was well kept and very tasty and very reasonably priced too!!

Delicious roast dinner! We turned up at 3pm on a Sunday and the kitchen squeezed us in for a really tasty roast beef dinner. Highly recommended :-)

Place was awsome. Food was top notch. Its a pub bud u get food like in restaurant. Best burger i ever had. Room was clean and big. Staff friendly and helpfull. Only issue was heating during winter had issues. During night didnt work so we freeze a bit but i guess it was wrong setting. Also sunday no dinner so u have to go somewhere else, but when u get use to food served like that others options is down

We had a tasty dinner at the Anchor in Hartland. The staff were all extremely helpful and welcoming. The reason I have given 3 stars is because although there was a light bite menu as well as a big bite menu, there were no actual starters. The curry I had was delicious but quite awkward to eat in the curry bowls. A piece if naan bread instead of poppadoms May have made it easier. Very tasty though. There was also an overly long wait between courses. They were busy so I do understand.I would still recommend a visit to this pub. It has a lovely sun terrace too.
