The Arscott Arms in Torridge

Lovely pub, great views from the garden, staff are so friendly and the food was fantastic. Had the steak and onion pie and it was packed full of beef.

Manage to get a table for Saturday night and was delighted to receive fantastic friendly service and a lovely meal . Just wished all pubs had this high level of customer service .

Lovely place and great food too we were very happy. The service was amazing the two waitresses should get a payrise you rarely find such great young staff these days. They're dog friendly too so that always makes me happy.

In area on holiday from Birmingham had a wonderful week which we rounded off with meal at the Arscott arms a very friendly happy welcoming venue food and service were second to none can't fault it in any way or wait to visit again which i hope will be in the not to distant future

Had a wonderful birthday dinner here last night. The staff were terrific and the ambience was just right. The food was amazing though. I can't compliment the chef enough for making me a gluten and dairy free starter that wasn't even on the menu. We will definitely be back.

Great find, service and food was excellent and it's roomy and nicely decorated indoors. Quite a lot of outdoor space too for when the weather's better.. Have been back (Apr 22) and it was just as good on our second visit.

Delightful atmosphere. Very good food fairly priced. Nice friendly service. Will go again next time here.

A greatly improved pub, was poor years ago but was friendly, warm and cosy. Nice country decor, woodburner on. Menu had enough choice though limited if vegan.Food was served very attractively and was tasty. Will go back again. Plenty of parking and a small beer garden for the summer.

Had Sunday Lunch a Fortnite ago and it was SO good we immediately rebooked. Last week I had the Gammon and my Wife had the Beef. This week we both had Beef. Both sets of meals fabulous with the meat supplied by Warrens of Launceston and all the vegetables cooked to order. Spuds and Yorkies cooked just like Mum used to cook. . . . . . and lashings of gravy. Not only that we took our head of security, Wilma ( our not so petite Puppy ) and she got a free meal as well. The Staff are absolutely delightful - although you could think you were seeing double with the two sisters. The Landlady is an avbsolute credit to the business with great beers, beautifully served in clean fresh cold glasses. Great legs and heads on the beer, and glasses appropriately handled with the often forgotten rule of the customer owns the top third of the glass - so don't put your fingers on it. The Arscott. 100%.

Great find! Lovely pub, lots of indoor and outdoor seating.Managed to squeeze a table of 8 in quite short notice!Decent menu, food was great and front of house staff were very lovely.We left a jumper behind and they very kindly called me to let me know.Oh and very dog friendly too! Best pub in the area 👍
