Great food, friendly staff and very dog friendly!

Well worth the visit. Very homely and comfortable. Very dog friendly in fact you are greeted by a staffy that is very happy to see you. If you do not pay attention it rolls on his back and kicks it’s legs. Although when was at the bar he joined me but refused a pint. Must be on the wagon.While waiting for our dinner we were able to sit with a drink around a log fire in a comfortable armchair. Could have stayed there all night but had to move to our table to have a freshly cooked meal.The food was great and full of flavour. All in all a very enjoyable experience and now that I know it is so close to home we will definitely be going back. Thanks everyone concerned.

Quaint pub. Lovely pigmy goats in the garden and loads of outdoor space which is either under cover and open to the elements. Food was nice but not as good as the carvery that use to be here under other management. Will try again to see if it was just an off day.

Absolutely gorgeous food (especially the Sunday roast!) A lovely atmosphere, well organised with excellent friendly service. Well worth a visit 😊

What an amazing carvery lunch. Highly recommend. We are in Devon on holiday, which is such a shame as if we lived closer we would make it a regular. You need to book on Sundays due to its popularity. And hold off on breakfast, the meal was exceptional sized portion. Lovely.pub, friendly hosts. Monkleigh is lucky to have such a gem.

Always smiling, welcoming and professional staff. Booked for 10 colleagues. Great food, great atmosphere. Even had a shots menu! Staff was constantly there to check that we were ok. Would definitely recommend to friends! Thanks again The Bell Inn.

Doesn't do it justice but my husband and I had the bbq ribs. Absolutely delicious!!! Very very meaty! I know people who had other bbq mains and would recommend this lovely little place in monkleigh, we will definitely be going again!!
