Excellent quirky pub with great local beer, a good 70s soundtrack, humorous barman and great ambience.

Great atmosphere take out drinks while waiting for fish and chips next door

By far our favourite pub on our recent trip to Appledore! We were made to feel welcome, lovely vibe, great selection of drinks, cold, clean lager, an outside area and the best music playlist I think I’ve ever heard in a pub! Just head straight here if you are out, don’t bother with the others!

I love popping in here for a few jars. Both owners are so lovely and friendly, live music, not expensive either! It’s always a busy little place so they’re certainly getting it right :)

Its great that these proper good pubs still exist..we had a good evening there and a warm welcome..lets keep these pubs going..live music good ale buzzy atmosphere..well done Champ we will be back soon.

A great pub with a lovely manager, good selection of drinks. People were very friendly. Enjoyed the fish and chips from next door too which you can eat in the pub. Will definitely be revisiting in the future.

Amazing pub, staff and locals were awesome. Never been more welcomed in a pub in a small town. Any visitors need to give it a go. You won't only go once, we popped in for 1 drink and stayed all week..lol xx

Great pub. Lovely relaxed atmosphere even when things got more lively with the Brazillian Street Band playing. They don't do food but you can bring your own in and the chip shop on the corner will even deliver it for you. Small courtyard to the rear makes a nice smoking spot, it was just a shame there was no cover given the torrential rain. Really enjoyable night and look.forward to visiting again 😀

Great little pub. Clearwater beers are superb. Friendly people and great live music several nights a week

A friendly down to earth pub: live music many nights; relaxed atmosphere; decent beers; and food looks pretty good (burgers and a wide variety of chips with toppings). A proper pub.
