This was sourced by my younger sister, who found an absolute gem. For mid October, the weather was AMAZING and only added to our experience. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The menu changes constantly and everything was very fresh. We had enjoyed crab rolls and lobster bisque. We ordered a side of cockles and whelks. Cockles were lovely and the whelks were HUGE, a little chewy. Lobster bisque didn’t topple the Santa Barbra lobster bisque, but was very delicious. The crab meat was enjoyable with more brown than white meat.Overall, the experience baroque and quirky.Top Tip: don’t sit near the road. The dust from the cars makes things crunchy.

We enjoyed a lovely lunch at this cafe at the northern end of Instow Beach. The food was fresh and focused on local sea food. There is an evident focus on high quality and the food is delicious. Will certainly return.

Glorious little find, lovely antidote to bad weather a hearty bowl of hot fish stew, mussles and a follow up of the richest chocolate torte ever! Yeah it's outside but worth dodging the rain for

Perfectly juicy and meaty oysters which at £16 for 6 are also some of the best value for money around. Also highly recommend the lobster bisque. There was no queue on a drizzly Saturday afternoon at 4, but can see how this place would be pumping in the sunshine

What an amazing place! We had the nicest lunch here, with lovely service. It's in a really sweet little location with lots of lovely garden tubs to look at, and the menu is delicious - we took one of everything and shared it and everything tasted incredible. Loved the fermented veg in the salad and the pretty edible flowers.A great range of tasty and interesting drinks, ice creams and cakes too. This place has made my trip to Devon

Amazing sea side restaurant nearly the beach. It's actually protected from the winds and in an ideal location (next to the dunes). They are serving both drinks and food. The menu is very fresh and updated often. The crab burger was amazing and very tasty. You can feel that the product quality was top notch. As a side, you can eat cockles with vinegar - which are also very good. I would definitely recommend this place for any sea food lover. Terrace is also a great plus when the sun is shinning.

A very jolly, pleasant and superior little beach-hut serving ambitious fayre which is a cut above most. We tried home-made fish-finger burgers (delicious, and see pic). Meals will come in c. £10-£15 a head incl. of a coffee. They've really made an effort with the presentation of the seating area and it has paid off. Well done.
