This is a cracking place, great atmosphere, food looks amazing. We was hoping to have a few beers and a bite to eat after our Hartland Hartbreaker run but it was rather late on a Sunday afternoon, they stayed open a bit longer for us to have a couple of beers and offered to put on some chips because the kitchen had actually closed, how good of them was that. Lovely people that run the place. Highly recommend

Lovely evening spent with the family in this central pub in Hartland. Food was incredible and serve quick. We'll worth a visit if your near Hartland Piont.

We decided to book here as we noticed our destination, Hartland, was a relatively small area, with a relatively large audience. We walked in and asked to book, we were met with a smile; a warm welcome, and proceeded to book our meal for the following evening. The menu is not a vast one, but the choices are perfect. Homely food, real hearty grub! The service was quick and pleasant, the waitress was very jovial and made us feel welcome. The food was great, my steak was exceptional.A lovely place in a very quiet, yet also busy little village in north Devon.

For a Tuesday night the Hart Inn was reasonably busy. We had a warm welcome from bar staff, ordered drinks & were shown through to a very pleasant barn conversion type restaurant. Wide wooden floor boards & glass full height windows looking out onto the garden. The evening was October cool but staff were quick off the mark to make sure the heating was on at the nearest radiator which helped a lot.Food was nicely presented & plentiful portions. The (mini) Camembert starter was lovely but a bit too big for a starter! It could have done with more toast & pickle too.The mains were delicious although my chicken could have been more seasoned & for my taste, more sauce required! We pushed onto a pudding each but couldn’t finish it all!Overall I certainly recommend the Hart Inn. The staff were friendly and hospitable, the service was excellent & the food encourages another visit when we are next up that way. Go! I don’t think you’ll regret it. £70+ for the two of us for 3 course dinner & a drink each.

Came here for my special birthday dinner - absolutely lovely. Such a gorgeous building with lovely interior, felt very relaxed and comfortable. Tables well spaced apart and really varied and interesting menu. We shared a whitebait starter and for main I had the chicken supreme with brandy cream and mushroom sauce and my partner had the sea bass. Both were lovely - good generous portions. Service was great, good without being over the top. Landlord was very friendly and welcoming - would highly recommend for special dinner. If I'm ever in Hartland again, I'd definitely come back here. Excellent!

We spent a week in Hartland and after trying the other 2 pubs in the village, The Hart Inn was by far the better one. We had the Sunday roast last week , which was delicious and booked to eat again on Thursday as our last night of our holiday. Again the food was lovely. The new owners & their staff were very friendly & made a fuss of our dog too. A lovely atmosphere & friendly pub, overall would definitely recommend a visit , you won’t be disappointed.

We had a delicious Sunday lunch at the Hart Inn in the pretty village of Hartland. The owners and staff were friendly and welcoming. There was a good choice of real ales and ciders. We are real ale drinkers. The food was amazing. We had the Ruby red 8 hour slow cooked brisket which came with a good selection of vegetables. This is the best Sunday roast I've eaten out.I had banana split for dessert which I hadn't had in years. Yummy! We have ready booked a table again for later in the week. I highly recommend this beautiful Inn.

Stopped for a pint and lunch whilst visiting in the area. Lovely looking pub with a nice beer garden which has a small kiddies play area. Limited on ale options as only two which I thought might of been more considering the size off the pub. Food was very tasty and service was rather quick but I thought the food was over priced for what you got (£13.95 for the scampi and chips). If they had more local ale options and the food was better priced I would give it a 5 star.

Visited August bank holiday Sunday, on the last evening with the old management in control. I think this had something to do with why service was so poor. From start to finish, service was all over the place. They were all clearly preoccupied.I wouldn't have minded so much if the food was memorable, but unfortunately it was really bland, over priced and overall quite disappointing.Hopefully the new team do better 🤞🤞

Came here while on holiday and found it to be the ideal place to have a meal. Food was great and the choice of ice cream, cream or custard with dessert was a great feature. All round solid pub/restaurant.
