Bull & Dragon in West Devon

Brilliant pub and staff. Having moved into the area we tried the pub. From the very first visit made to feel very welcome by landlord and staff. We go quite regularly now and always have a great experience. Food is excellent pub grub with daily specials. Local beers are superb and well kept. Staff knowledgable about them. Mentioned it to neighbours who have also given very good reports to us. It is dog friendly but we have had no issues in that respect.

We were on our way to Rosemoor but had to take a diversion because of road works. It turned out to be a rather long diversion and so we so we stopped here for coffee. What a perfectly lovely welcome we had at this truly friendly pub. We couldn't fault anything and will definitely return with friends. We first stopped for coffee before we changed our destination for a walk on Dartmoor (on the recommendation of the publican!). The Bull and Dragon served lunch all day so we didn't have to worry about wanting a late lunch on our return. There was lots to choose from on the menu and everything we had was well cooked. The publican is very knowledgeable about his beers and ciders and he couldn't have been more attentive. We were very impressed by the cleanliness and attractive homely touches of fresh plants. If only more pubs could provide this high standard of welcome towards their customers. Just wish we lived closer to go more often 😌. Thankyou to all at the Bull and Dragon for giving us a day to remember.

Stopped here for a pint and a ham/tomato baguette. Beer was very well kept. Lovely traditional thatched pub. Locals very friendly. Landlord couldn’t do any more to make us comfortable

Wonderful food, amazing selection of local gins, whisky and a frequently changing selection of excellent ales. However the main reason you would want to visit this cosy pub is the wonderful staff that I cannot praise enough. If you're even remotely near the area then visit this pub.

Friendly pub, wish it was our local! Lunchtime visit. Lovely atmosphere & very good toasted sandwiches! Only one negative comment, unnecessary bad language at bar by local (not staff).

Warm welcoming pub.....homemade food at reasonable prices, lemon drizzle cake a must also homemade. We loved the feel of the place the owner and Joe the barman are a class above 🙂

Lovely country pub, the staff and customers were really friendly and welcoming. A good selection of Ales although the barman didn't want to sell his favourite just incase it ran out before his shift was over 😂

This is an amazing, friendly pub, food was excellent n very good value for the money. Will definitely be looking to return again. We'll impressed..

Super friendly pub, with awesome desserts! Vegan chocolate orange pudding to die for.Thanks so much for our evening meal. Food was tasty and the atmosphere was just super. Even gave us a four person table to two of us (and they were by no means empty), as well as recommending some local must see places. Cleanliness top notch. Thanks again
