Fingle Bridge Inn in West Devon

We popped in on our way back from Cornwall. Great place to stop for some lunch. We enjoyed baguettes and chips while enjoying the view of the river on a very rainy Monday. Prices were very reasonable considering the location. Staff were friendly. We will be returning in the future on a nice day to enjoy the walk and drink.

Went there last Sunday with the family and enjoyed the carvery. Beef, pork, turkey breast, honey & mustard ham and nut roast; you can have a choice of any two and you get given BIG helpings..! I went for the turkey and ham, both tender and delicious😋.The veg is good too and the yorkshire puds - a tasty meal in a delightful setting, with friendly and attentive staff😊🤗.

Absolutely beautiful pub, with what I'd call traditional food. We popped there with one of our boys who loved it. Sat outside for a bit then went in and sat by the fire while we waited for food. The lady that looked after us was amazing, very attentive. Would love to spend the day there in the summer drinking their great ales!!

Such a lovely location, really peaceful by tbe side of the river. Plenty of walking available to work off your meal and easy access to riverside beachy areas for the kids! Staff were friendly, polite and efficient providing the table service. Everything we ordered was delicious especially the raspberry eton mess!

Lovely pub with great menu options such as sandwiches and light snacks with a kids menu too. Beautiful views as you enjoy a cold drink after a walk

The setting is lovely and the food and service was very good. Plenty of tables inside and out. Very picturesque walk along the river to work off lunch! We've been here several times because it's in such a special location.

Another amazing place we discovered....we didn't walk the whole trail, just along the river. We had a lovely lunch at the pub...perfect day

Stunning Forestry Commission area of natural beauty, plenty of parking near to the stone Fingle Bridge, over the gleaming bubbling river. 3 walks of different difficulty to choose from. The river walk, follows the river edge past small rapid areas and flowing cascades of mini waterfalls feeding into the main river, information and art placed along the river to highlight the stunning woodland surroundings. Good gravel paths help those less mobile to enjoy the walk and to finish off a well earned pint from the pub next to Fingle Bridge.

The most beautiful setting. Very pretty pub, clean with excellent staff. Although the height of summer and very busy we only waited 10 minutes for a table. Service was excellent and the food very tasty.

I rate it a 5 star because I have been there many times and has enjoyed it a lot because there is and Inn/pub there where the food is very well priced and you can paddle in the river below when in the summer is nice and cool and also has slot of nice trails. The COVID measures are very good with face coverings and 2 metre rules are very good. The proportions are really good with the garlic bread there 4 good slices and food sizes are really good.
