Had good reports about this lovely country pub and wasn't disappointed.Nice food, great menu, smaller portions for us oldies. Friendly staff and nice garden under some fruit trees. Definitely worth a visit.

Very nice and friendly pub. Amazing food, lovely outdoors seating. Dog friendly, vegan and gluten free! Highly recommend.

Excellent customer service! Lovely to talk to. They didn't have space for us but we were comfortable at the bar. The food was delicious a huge chicken and leek pie. We were given drinks on the house for waiting and being moved. The hot drinks were delicious. If I'm ever back in the area I will go definitely again!

What a gem of a pub! Dropped in last night and enjoyed some good beers and cider and food was good quality and well priced. Welcoming and friendly staff who looked after us well. This is a great Dartmoor village pub and we will return to support it. It’s just so good I don’t really want to share its success for fear of too many people finding out.

This little pub back behind a farm is wonderful. The staff are all extremely friendly and the food was fantastic and value for money. I would highly recommend this place for a good evening meal

Wow, what a find. A beautiful Proper country inn. The food was first class. I had the steak and Stilton pie. The best pie I have ever had. Staff are very polite and welcoming. I doubt you’d find better in the south east of England .

Lovely fire going on a drizzly January day. Friendly staff. Fully booked for food, so only stopped for a drink after walking the dogs. Nice and clean and nice feeling to the place. Didn't get to try the food, so only have put 4 stars. But being fully booked and turning up to a full pub carpark in a remote country village during their lunch hours, says it all.

Have been meaning to go in for ages but always seem to walk past between lunch and dinner - until this week! Had a ploughman’s with four lovely Devon cheeses AND ham, and a chicken ham and leek pie that was stuffed with chicken, really tasty and came with nice crispy roasties. Very happy that the salad came without dressing (which was provided separately), the salad had a nice selection and was delicious too. Welcome was friendly even though we walked in from the rain in muddy boots with no booking, good selection of drinks and a nice fire on. Will definitely go back.

Had the first roast of the year here today, very reasonably priced for the large portion of food, perfect ratio of meat, gravy and veg. The roast potatoes were a bit dry in the outside and hard to chew, the cheese cauliflower wasn't mushy which was a good surprise. The sticky toffee pudding was a recommendation from the staff and turned out to be completely the right choice, very fluffy and deliciously spiced, it might be the most remarkable thing about the whole meal. The service was good, very clean place and dog friendly.

Beautiful place, staff could have told us they had 4 staff with covid when we first walked in but they didn't. The service was great. Food was delicious and fairly priced.
