Found Taylors by chance today and decided to have the Sunday roast. It's 2 courses so I had the soup of the day and the beef roast. The soup was winter vegetables, served with bread. Both were a bit bland, the soup improved after adding a generous amount of salt. The roast itself was abundant in portions as you can see in the pictures, although on the short end with the gravy, I did ask for more and was charged an extra £1. The food was tasty. It took some effort to cut the meat but that's because the table knife, would have been easier with a steak knife. Overall a good experience and the staff was friendly.

The two of us stopped in for an impromptu Sunday lunch today. The staff were fabulous, very attentive and polite. The food was great. We both had calamari, roast pork and pud. Can't fault the service. 5 out of 5. We will definitely be returning. Many thanks. Phil & Melanie

A really lovely all-round restaurant experience. Tasteful decor while giving off a relaxed and 'not trying too hard' air - modern and yet warm. Welcoming service - we had the falafel burger and burrito for lunch - both excellent. Will definitely return. Thanks to all the lovely staff.

Pre- orders were made in error, so our whole party didn't get what they'd ordered for every course. A member of staff was incredibly rude when we came to pay the bill and items were still on there that we'd never ordered they were just brought out, and then offered to us as they were 'going spare'.We'd been adaptable and members of our group had willingly not had the meal they'd ordered due to Taylors getting it wrong, but when we came to leave our waiter said that this was not true to his manager(?) who then grilled him in front of us! Won't ever be returning.

I have visited Taylors three times in December and loved every meal. Food and service are of a high standard and the meals are attractively served. It’s my favourite place for a meal in Tavistock and also good value at this time of year!

Sunday lunch today for Dads Birthday, staff pleasant, food ok but forgotten for both courses. Don't usually feedback but felt disappointed today, waited 40 minutes for main meal, others whom arrived after had food before ourselves. Nothing difficult roasts & a burger. Then waitress forgot to put through dessert order, again a long wait blamed on system didn't order first time round! I would always tip, but didn't today & felt bad.

Nice little place in Tavistock town centre. We had a vegan breakfast, avocado on toast and tea for two. Food was freshly prepared and tasty. Breakfast had sourdough toast, hash brown, tomatoes, mushrooms, baked beans and a vegan sausage/fritter made from beetroot which was different. Generous portion of mashed avocado on two slices of sourdough toast and as we didn’t have poached egg, they charged us less for it which was a very nice thing to do. The tea was the best we’ve had and we even asked where they bought it! Coffee looks good too and I will need to try it next time. Reasonably priced and friendly staff, I will be returning!

Every time we have visited Taylor’s the food has been excellent. My partner loved her Risotto and said it was so filling she couldn’t eat her dessert. The burger was equally as good and we will be retuning as soon as possible.

Nice food and nice staff. We went with a couple of friends and we had very nice time there. All the food were well cooked and very tasteful. My partner and I ordered different things to share and it was a nice option because we enjoyed everything.

A very enjoyable meal, with decent food and excellent service. A nicely designed restaurant that is very popular. Make sure you book up. The ultimate burger was delicious as was the lemon tart desert. Well worth a trip
