My husband and I visited here for lunch when we were staying nearby in Princetown with two young dogs after a very windy walk in the middle of a storm. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Lunch was delicious, we had a couple of sandwiches and chips. The sandwiches were deep filled and the chips were perfect. You got a real sense that the staff and the owners cared about the customers experience and they enjoyed they're job.I would highly recommend a visit here and we will definitely return.

Everything about this place is absolutely wonderful. You walk in and are greeted by not only gorgeous decor in cosy surroundings but also very friendly staff .We were a party of 5 one of which is vegan and its probably the nicest vegan food she has had outside of a city. The food is so well presented and tastes divine. If you are in the area I recommend you book in , we will certainly be returning, highly recommend !

Visited here between Christmas and New Year with a group of friends following a walk. Friendly staff and lovely food. We were given a small room to one side as we had a toddler with us which was nice and didn't have to worry about the toddler running around. Fantastic menu, with fresh produce; will be visiting again.

Excellent service and beautiful food... I haven't been in for a few years until Saturday evening, and it was as good if not better than I remembered.. Well done to a great team effort..

Incredible place!! The service was truly outstanding, the decor lovely - light and airy but homely, the menu wonderful, with something for everyone.I had a wonderful espresso martini, the beers were great. To start there was water for the table and wonderful fresh baked bread and butter. We ate wood pidgeon which was one of the most delicious dishes I have ever eaten, and ham hock with remoulade. For mains we had fish and chips (the batter was so good - not a hint of sogginess, it was crisp and light, with incredible chips peas and tartare sauce, and Hake with cauliflower and curry broth - light, fresh and full of flavour, the fish was cooked to perfection. We had no room for dessert but all that we saw looked amazing. This is my new absolute favourite in the area, definitely worthy of its Mitchelin rating and at £79 for two courses for 2 with a cocktail coffees and two pints an absolute bargain.I could not recommend this place more!

Booked a lunch here at the start of a week in the area and what a great find. Lovely light, airy pub and food that is a significant cut above the usual. Lots of local seasonal ingredients and a kitchen that really knows what they are doing. Service also excellent and very family friendly. So good we returned for a another visit.

We booked for lunch with our two young children and it was fantastic. The pub itself is spacious and light with a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The food was the best we have eaten on our three week holiday here in the south west. Almost everything is sourced locally and tasted fresh and delicious. We especially enjoyed the scallops and the duck. There is a dedicated children's menu and their food was also tasty and very generous portions. But what really set this pub apart was the service. The staff were so friendly and smiley. They made time to talk to us and were so lovely with our two young children. All the waitresses were engaging and great care was taken to make sure we enjoyed our food and had everything we needed. We loved it.
