The East Dart Hotel in West Devon

Very welcoming and regular check if all is OK. Room is small but comfortable ( is an old building ) and food is great very good value for dinner and breakfast.

Lovely location, clean comfortable rooms, good evening meals (before 7:15) would have stayed longer if we'd known how fab it was.

Absolutely appalling ! I used to visit here a lot when lived close. Was good in 1980s.Now , just don't go. ! Rude aggressive owners/staff. .no atmosphere.! Bar been cleared. Better off going to a cattle shed. ! Just don't bother stopping.Go Warren. Or two bridges instead. For better experience.

Stopped for a drink and something to eat. I Had a prawn sandwich and fries. Landlady not particularly friendly and was flustered. Sat outside, when sandwich arrived I noticed a spot of mould on each half, confirmed by the 3 other people with me, one of whom is a chef. When I took it back the landlady tried telling me "it was salad", She had it changed straight away, and I know the difference between mould and salad. The rest of my party had baguettes, which were not even buttered, so nobody was impressed. Would not visit again, but the area is fantastic as always.

I stopped for lunch whilst on a motorbike ride out. The staff were very friendly and they were very helpful. Food was OK, although the Goujons (aka nuggets) could probably have been cooked a little more. It was very pleasant sat outside in the warm on the new outside patio and I’d definitely stop by again.

855290 We stayed along the road from the pub but enjoyed the hospitality of Rosie and Paul from the first time we walked into their establishment. They made us feel welcome and we would highly recommend their food and lovely traditional country pub. Covid rules were adhered to and we felt safe there. Nothing was too much trouble.

Have been coming for over ten years for business and pleasure once again not disappointed the room was great and the food outstanding. Highly recommend paying the a visit.

There's not much that I dislike in life- but this pub is definitely one of them. Dark, gloomy and very 'tired. Rude staff - manager that rolled her eyes at me for no reason and chips that tasted like they had been cooked in 'old' fat. It is clearly a popular pub by no other merit than that it is the only one near the Postbridge. In future, I'll eat elsewhere before getting to Postbridge and I recommend anyone reading this does the same.

We came off a long moor walk and asked if there was any chance we could have a large lunch, and they kindly said yes! We had an amazing burger and probably the best fish and chips I could remember having, and they've never been more welcome. All washed down with some Jail Ale. We'll definitely be back for some more great pub food by the fire this winter thank you!
