The Globe Inn in West Devon

A very pleasant traditional Inn with extremely pleasant warm and welcoming staff. Accommodation was clean, comfortable and well kept. Food was of good quality both for breakfast and evening meal. A great location from which to explore the delights of Chagford and the local area. I would return for a further visit and definitely recommend for those who like a traditional pub hospitality and local ales.

We had a lovely stay at the Globe. The food was lovely as was the room. Nick behind the bar was brilliant, very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommended.

Really decent food, lovely setting and staff professional and Freindly. One of the best pub meals ever. Good atmosphere and exceptionally clean, fast service and did I mention the food was decent. You can tell when the chef cares about the taste, presentation and quality of the food and this comes through on the plate.Top shout eating here.

One of the best hotels in Devon considering its location which is pretty much a part of the moors. Great atmosphere during evenings in the pub. Nice spacious rooms with all basic amenities. Couldn't have asked for more.Lovely staff, very helpful.Didn't have issues with parking either, enough on the streets and plenty on the adjacent long stay car park.

A real old country Inn - the absolute social centre of this lovely town running hosting music, community events and the annual film festival. We've eaten here several times and the food has always been first class and reasonably priced. Their local beers and ciders are well kept and the staff are always friendly and helpful; always biscuits for visiting dogs!

We were not eating here, we had already booked somewhere else but we looked at the menu and it looked delicious with lots of choices. The fire here was so warm and cosy with the weather being so cold outside. A lovely relaxing atmosphere in the pub too and friendly staff, definitely want to go back.

Best fish and chips we've had so far. The host was very nice and phoned all the local workshops for us, as we've had an issue with our car.

The evening meal was sensational. Breakfast was a bit basic. Dog friendly in the bar and some rooms, lovely little touches in the room for the dog, bed, bowls, treats etc. Would definitely rebook if going back to Chagford.

The Globe Inn was a delightful place to stay. A small hotel full of character. We stayed two nights so we could do some beautiful walks in the immediate area. On arrival we were greeted by Nick who made us feel very welcome. We had a nice size room well appointed with the usual bits and pieces you would expect. The room and the entire Inn were always looking clean and cared for. The bars and the dinning room had a nice atmosphere with many locals eating and drinking here.We dined here both evenings, the food was very good indeed. The wine and other bar drinks were reasonably priced. The service by all at the Globe was excellent throughout our stay..... Would I recommend, most certainly.
