The Kitchen in West Devon

Had an excellent West Country Breakfast. Great staff and service. Great cakes too!!!

The owners decided to charge michelin star prices for mostly plain cold plates and stale scones. Coffee is bad too. Guess they want a quick buck with minimal effort.

Great side street café, good location and friendly staff.Quite expensive though, two coffees and cake over £13.

Really nice place! Very welcoming and friendly staff. Perfect for breakfast, lunch, snacks or cakes. And most important of all, properly dog friendly inside. Def worth a visit!

This is truly a lovely place, nice staff, decor is smashing and most importantly the food and menu is very good, when in Tavistock this is the place to try, well be back :)

What a great little find. Was expecting coffee and cake, but the quality of the meals we had were superb. I had the salmon with crayfish tails & lobster bisque. Went back the next day and had it again. Would give it 6 stars if I could.

OWNER WROTE PR**K ON THE BACK OF MY CAR BECAUSE OF THIS…This is the kind of company they are, don’t like the fact I was parked outside their shop in a marked bay! Simply parked in a spot, told that I don’t know how to drive because I left this gap, asked me to move however even if I moved they couldn’t have fit anywhere anyway, then VERY rude owner of business decided to start having a go at me with my partner and child saying you’re supposed to park with tyres on white line (asked a traffic warden I spotted and they said NO part of a vehicle is allowed over white line at front/rear technically) then proceeded to wait for me to walk around the corner and wrote this on the back of my car! To note, she proceeded to leave her car on double yellow lines to unload, was there 2 minutes and left, so actually she just thought she had a right to the space outside on a public highway.

Lovely lunch... With a takeaway cream tea to follow... friendly staff....great food in a lovely atmosphere..

What a lovely place to have a light meal. Subtle 'girlie' decor, we only had homemade cakes but the were delish! Avocado and courgette sponge sandwich cake. g/f and vegan.

If I could start my day here every day I would....fantastic coffee and food, but most of all there is always a warm welcome.And if like me you like home-made cakes 😁 then this is definitely the place for you...next time your in Tavistock ...
