Took the family for dinner, largely as a result of a write-up in the Telegraph. Lovely wooden tables and pub nicely refurbished. Food was very tasty and portion sizes were fine. I was a bit miffed that the prices were about £2 higher than indicated by the sample menu on their website.

Lovely local pub, very welcoming staff and excellent food. Bustling hub of Horrabridge, we will definitely come back for a meal in the near future.

A local favourite of ours. The LS have got everything right; a cosy and lively pub, serving interesting and tasty food, with something on the menu for everyone - and very reasonably priced. You can tell the owners/managers love what they do, and they bring something fresh to the Tavistock pub scene, which is quite hard to put your finger on. Keep doing what you’re doing!

Really wonderful food, lovely accommodating staff, friendly locals & a beautiful cosy pub. What more can you ask? Oh, and a nice (but steep!) beer garden.

Got a table with no booking. The food was delicious, as was the wine. Outdoor and indoor seating available. The place was lively and had a good atmosphere. The staff were lovely, albeit it was one young man on his own! Would definitely visit again.

My wife found this pub as we are staying in Tavistock for our holiday. What a find it was. Set in a lovely village of Horrabridge this pub served up one of the best meals we have ever had. The staff upon arrival offered us either inside or outside seating we choose inside due to heat but the outside overlooking the pub looks great for next time. Our drink order was taken next and a good range of local ales and ciders to choose from along with a number of lovely wines. Then shown the meal which was on blackboard of all to see. Simple menu but with local produce and amazing cooking all looked and tasted great. I had the burger which came with large amount of chips and coleslaw along with smokey cheddar on top. My wife and son both had fish and chips and the fish was very large with large amount chips and salad which comes from owners garden. After all that meal we were unfortunately unable to have dessert to full but the options looked and sounded amazing. Would highly recommend visiting if only for a drink but you will regret not trying the food before you go.

Exceptional pub! The food really makes this place incredible - every dish is packed with flavour. Add to that local ales on tap, sunny garden, dog friendly bar, and friendly staff - it's always worth a visit!

·

Lovely pub with friendly staff, great food and well kept ales... What's not to like! We'll definitely be back.

·

Old style pub, only stayed fir a drink but great service. Will be back in the autumn for a Sunday roast snd to watch the salmon leaping.

Sunday lunch after a walk on a blustery Dartmoor, the Leaping Salmon was the perfect place to go. The pub is in the most amazing location, it's been really tastefully renovated in the last couple of years and the atmosphere, the service, menu and food were all fantastic. My daughter Daisy is a vegan foodie and said that hers was the best Sunday roast she'd eaten, my roast beef was really good too - presented and cooked beautifully.
