Its ok, food was average and edible, though one steak was a bit tough and grissly. Also not very easy for disable visitors..

Great food and a friendly warm welcome recommend especially if you are staying up road at the travel lodge as the pub is a five minute walk from there.

Good honest traditional pub food at very reasonable prices. Good portions. Excellent sticky toffee pud. Very friendly bar man who was busy but coping with it all easily. We would return - hopefully the replica blunderbuss collection will have grown.

Lovely log fire in bar going. We had liver and bacon in mustard sauce. Very well cooked. But mustard sauce too strong with dish. Nice friendly place.

We arrived as tourists just as the locals were starting a party and were made to feel ever so welcome. Lovely atmosphere and pub has just been taken over by George (Oct 2021). We returned for food in the bar area the following night. The home cooked lasagne was great, but the fish and chips were from the freezer I think and left a lot to be desired. Still, it was all pub prices and no pretension. Worth a visit and a pint or two!

Nice friendly pub, good atmosphere, good food with a surprisingly decent choice for a small pub. nice range at the bar including Dartmoor whiskeys. Well worth a visit but book if you want to eat as quite popular. Thanks Dave (bar man) will be back if we go close again!

Lovely sun trap of a pub garden with a beautiful view. Service was a bit slow but we weren't in a hurry so didn't mind. Food was delicious, the ham was really great and fried eggs cooked perfectly. The brie and bacon sandwich was super good and would definitely have again. Puddings were okay. Staff were very friendly and welcoming and up for a bit of a laugh. Had a lovely Saturday pub lunch here
