Great fish n chips! We ordered ahead for 12 people while camping locally and everyone enjoyed it! It’s not called the Tavi frier anymore btw!

·

Good fish n chips, portion of chips for one too big could have fed 4 persons.

Thats me being kind. Food far to greasy, staff not interested in there job almost like they don't care i asked for salt and vinegar on my chips and even after they asked me agian they still didn't even put it on, they where rude to my friend. After eating there we are all feeling ill 90% of the food is in the bin. I WON'T BE COMING BACK!!!.

Excellent chip shop with spacious, clean and modern interior dining areas. Great service from the friendly staff and reasonable pricing. Fish & chips right up there with best we have had on our travels, in our opinion at least. No issues whatsoever and recommended to all.

I had cod and chips from take away last night and young lad who served me was very friendly, but unfortunately he was dressed in a black hoody that appeared to be the one he had just walked in off street in , with the young lad at the back preparing the food was also in black hoody and baseball cap using a phone while handling food, not exactly hygienic , surely they should be trained in food hygiene . I ended up with stomach upset after eating the food. The image and hygiene needs serious attention, would not recommend.

It cost me £32 for two extra large cod and chips and 2 small sausages with one portion of chips to share. Nearly fainted as I handed the money over so my expectations were very high only to be disappointed. The extra large cods were what I would get if I asked for a medium back home in Hastings and 1 portion of chips would have been too much to feed all four of us so I ended up with a huge surplus of wasted food. It was cooked right but a little on the greasy side. Would use again if I was near now in the knowledge of what I would be ordering.

Piece of over-cooked (frozen?) cod in thin batter, cooked in burnt oil. Predominantly tasted of oil.Cod was smaller than the fork used to eat it - £5.29 without chips. My wife was the only one to have the cod, she then threw it up and continued to have an uncomfortable evening.Chips tasted ok, but they aren't what you'd call generous.Battered sausages also showed proof of poor oil quality in colour and batter texture.

The waitress couldn't be more helpful and friendly, but unfortunately the chips were terrible! Cod was OK but they must sort out their chips!!

·

Terrible slow service caused by no organisation behind the scenes I felt for the waitress who had to manage the entire restaurant single handed and was continually having to apologize to customers for unacceptable delays. When our meals eventually arrived, chips were great but fish was of questionable quality, my 'cod' (not sure it even was as a large percentage of brown chewy flesh) was not good, peas were a fine assortment of shades of green obviously cheap were not nice either, our bread and butter never arrived, an adjacent table was disappointed twice as they were out of stock of at least 2 different types of fish! yes it was Friday but not that busy.A few years ago I ran a chippy in London with less staff, more customers and food was served much quicker so I do have knowledge of the trade. This visit, not our first we found very disappointing and service and quality not a patch on former visits, if things don't radically improve this shop will not survive the quieter winter period when tourists who do not know differently are not around - such s shame as it was an award winning venue not so long ago. I will have to think long and hard before returning.

A superb fish and chip shop who also do a very good all day breakfast. The service in the restaurant is friendly and swift. The chips have a delicious crunch and the all day breakfast had no grease to speak of. Highly recommended.
