The White Hart in West Devon

Excellent food and good, friendly service. Food was, hot, fresh and nicely presented. We took our two dogs who were welcomed and given a doggy treat. Good value and a lovely garden for families to enjoy.

We'll be back for sure!, yet another NEW OWNER since my review I've not been in yet, but I've heard the beer is a bit pricey, but still has a good atmosphere, live music fairly regularly and they are also serving food, check their website out for more information.

Such a welcoming pub, with a great selection of beers, spirits and wines.The Beer Garden is great in the summer and they also have a big function room to accommodate those special occasions.It's very deceiving from the outside, so make sure you pay a visit when you're next passing :)

First day for the new publicans, Jen and Steve. They managed to combine working extremely hard with being friendly and welcoming. Quite an achievement! Good atmosphere in the garden - everyone enjoying themselves. Will be back soon . . .

Very friendly and welcoming local pub. Good food selection and reasonably priced. They have Sky sports and a decent outside space.

What a fabulous and friendly pub! We were well looked after and the landlord went above and beyond to make my 11 year old daughter welcome. Really like it here and would highly recommend.

Good beer, had a pint of half bore and a pint of Skinner's IPA, both great! Chilled , clearly the locals like horse racing! It was on the TV on a Saturday afternoon. I sat out in the beer garden, good way to spend a summers day👍

This is our local. Always a warm welcome from the landlords & locals. Great food & drink at reasonable prices. Also dog friendly, with treats on offer for your pooch!

Saw a local live band here, good band, good venue pleasant clean pub. 3* because layout meant having to squeeze by people using the bar to get to band space it was very busy. Waited quite some time to be served (however they were busy) on the plus there were people watching live boxing in another part of the pub which was also televised in the band area without sound. I don't know weather they do food only experienced band /boxing.

Not a great experience in the White Hart on Friday night. We were minding our business playing pool and darts and the awful landlady came up saying about sitting on the pool table, and I quote ‘if you can’t respect that you will leave’.”. Now we had no warning about this, nor were there any signs that we were doing wrong. She was out of order, exceptionally rude, and due to her attitude, 7 people left the pub. All she needed to do was have a friendly’ chat and ask please can you not sit on the pool table, which of course would be fine.
