Called in here for fish n chips whilst we watched the Tavistock Christmas light switch on.They were extremely busy as you would expect however the staff had a great system set up which meant service was fast and efficient. The chips were really good quality, I also had a plain sausage and fish cake which were also really good. They do take orders by phone as well and party orders can be delivered. The menu is extensive, there is limited indoor seating as well.

Great chippy with nice crunchy chips and batter and a classic menu with surprisingly reasonable prices given that Tavistock is so touristy. The staff were great. Will definitely be back.

Inflation has hit Tavistock hard since I moved away it seems! (More than) Twice the price of a trip to the chippy at my new home up north.Nearly £10 for standard fish and chips. It was tasty enough, but £10 for fish & chips?! (5 x fish & chips, 2 curry sauce, 2 mushy peas came to £55)Not as large a portion, but still enough to fill me up.Didn't waste any, where I might when I get from my usual chippy at home.

First visit here. I was served cheerfully and the cod menu explained allowing me to make an informed choice. The fish was perfectly cooked the same with the chips which were very tasty. The menu looked to be comprehensive without being cluttered. I will be back as I thoroughly enjoyed my meal.EDIT- I now visit weekly and am very pleased with the service and the food here. Very friendly staff make this a pleasure.

Excellent fish and chips. The chap with the ponytail is the best fryer in Tavistock. Often when walking home from work I get a cone of chips. Crisp on the outside and soft inside. The payment process can be a bit erratic. Used to use Tavistock Times newspaper which was a great way to catch up on the local news too!

Had a fish and chip meal here it was very busy the locals seemed to like what they were getting,to me personally I have had a lot better as the chips were over cooked probably re fried from an earlier fry up,having said that I was hungry and ate the lot but these weren’t the lovely golden brown chips that I am used to having, the cup of tea was nice though.

Bought some chips and took a drive up onto the Moors to eat them. They were all burnt and didn't taste nice at all. Probably won't be returning. Paid a lot for them too
