A great walkers stop. Their speciality is rabbit pie which is awesome. They are very dog friendly offering free doggy treats for our fury friends. Kids are welcome but not in the main bar there is a big dinning room at the side for large parties and families. A great atmosphere inside as this pub does not have the modern trappings of fruit machines or TV screens, its just a good old fashion pub that does great food and beer with a warm welcome.

Great place to stop take in a few or get some shelter from the storm. Welcoming staff with a great attitude, warm fires and fair food. They say the fires always burned here but it's a bit of an old wives tale. Parking slightly restricted, but plenty of room. Highly recommended especially when you can sit outside and take in the view

Good old style pub with pots of history. Good food and cosy atmosphere.

Great pub, full of character. Dog friendly. Basic menu. Average food reflected in the cheap prices. It's a nice pit stop after a wet walk on the moor. One of my favourite pubs in Devon, definitely in the top ten.

·

had wabbit pie, they say there is a wabbit inside. Hard to tell when the meat is shredded. Bog standard chips. Steamed vegetables, I prefer them raw like the rabbit used to. In my opinion they could do with adding some white wine when they cooking the wabbit

A great pub in an amazing location high up on the moor. Had the feel of an alpine hut. Friendly staff and good food. The warrender pie (rabbit) was particularly good

·

Made a visit after being recommended by a friend. The views we're amazing and the food portions are generous! The only downfall was that there was some salmon on my plate (I ordered a vegetarian meal)

What's not to like ... Oldest, highest pub you'll find anywhere, good selection of real ale not my thing but the local Tavistock scrumpy was ..very nice.. sat outside looking over the Moor, we didn't eat but the food did look good...maybe next time.Take the Moretonhampstead road from Princetown you can't miss it,
