Generous portions. Which is always a bonus in eyes. The items that had been cooked in the tandoor were excellent. (Tandoori chicken, Sheek Kebab and nann bread.)

We use this Indian every time we are staying in the lyme regis area, it has the best food, polite staff and is ready when they say it will be.

·

We was not sure what take away to have, but finally we decided to go for the nearest. What a great choice it turned out to be. The chicken dhansak and pathia was amazing and plenty of it. The whole meal was excellent. We look forward to trying here again on our next visit to Lyme Regis.

Food good but service leaves a lot to be desired. Small stature waiter was rude to my wife. Decor also in serious need of updating.

·

Great food with top staff. One of the best we have tasted.Great discovery on our holiday.Highly recommended booking a table or picking up a takeaway.

·

Worst takeaway I've ever had, gave me and my group food poisoning and have been incredibly ill, full of oil drastically overpriced, awful delivery time way over 2 hours and the driver was arrogant and rude, the food turned up almost cold. I'd give no stars if I could.

Worst Indian takeaway ever!!Food was horrendous, other half and friends ended up with Food poisoning, hours late to receive the food to start with. Staff are rude.Didn't want to listen to us, just kept saying  you pay first then you complain.(which we did) Wouldn't give this food to my worst enemy!! If you want  an unhygienic meal with awful customer service  then this is the place for you!!

The food here is outstanding and authentic. We eat here regularly and always enjoy every mouthful! The staff are very friendly and accommodating.

·

Crummy decor and a carpet so dirty you'd stick to it if you stopped walking, but at least the chairs were quite new and clean. An empty bottle of hand cleanser at the entrance. We had reserved a table by the window, but it was not available. They tried to put us on a table right by the toilets, but we chose instead to wait for a better one.The starters (onion bhajis) came out cold. Replacements came out hot. Main course food okay, but nothing special. Some of the plates were not clean, so we had to ask the waiter for replacements. Even one of the replacements wasn't clean. We live locally and this was our first visit to Taste of India. Needless to say we won't be going back any time soon! The best thing about this restaurant is that it is BYO alcohol.

Great food and ok service! Just a constructive criticism the waiter should check back to ask if everything is ok or if we need anything else. Those small steps make a huge difference for the customers and it makes it an excellent service. Further more the options of no having kids menu or no suggestions in portion wise what to order for 4 years old child expected to order as an adult portion is a bit too much. Otherwise the best restaurant in Lyme Regis by far! 🙏🏼
