Amid Giants & Idols in West Dorset

Easily one of the best coffee shops I have ever been in, very inviting and cosy atmosphere with the added bonus of a coffee garden! The owner and his wife (and little one) are genuinely some of the nicest people you could meet and this is well reflected in the friendly and professional service provided. There is an extensive menu using high quality ingredients and delicious cakes! The coffee was soo smooth! The best I have tasted by far! My children had a smoothie which included mango, pineapple, spinach and apple juice, it disappeared in about 10 seconds! I would recommend this delightful coffee shop to anybody, I am yet to find anywhere else that delivers such quality at a very reasonable price!!

By far the best coffee in Lyme Regis. The owner knows his trade and the variety of coffee available will please any coffee aficionado. Brunch was excellent, freshly prepared and generous. It may be off the beaten track, but certainly worths a visit. Very well done to the owner for all the care and love he puts into his little shop.

Loved this cafe slightly off the beaten track in Lyme Regis. Coffee was delicious and decor cosy with welcoming and friendly owner. Definitely worth stopping by. Food looked good too with a great selection.

Tom the owner is completely an integral part of the coffee experience. And the coffee is just amazing. Tom has 6 different beans and is happy to recommend depending on your tastes. The house blend is more than decent so you can’t go wrong with that either.Not at all the place for a Starbucks clone, but if you want a cosy time with lovingly made brews do not hesitate to pop in, say hello and enjoy!

If you are discerning about your coffee then this cafe serves the best I have tasted in a long time. Coupled with the excellent cakes and the really relaxed atmosphere I can recommend this cafe unreservedly.

Amid Giants and Idols was just down the road from our holiday cottage and knowing they had vegan cake called for cake and coffee on our arrival day as it was raining cats and dogs. Lovely cosy cafe with outside seating on fine days playing really good music in the background but not distracting.The vegan pear and almond cake with a decaf coffee was fantastic, light and moist with delicious caramelised pears. Will be back as they said they could veganise sandwiches too.

We stumbled on this place as we were trying to avoid the crowds in the town. We are so glad we did; we had the most delicious, relaxing lunch and the coffee was superb! We were made to feel most welcome (and the dog too!) by Ben (I hope I have your name right!) and his lovely regular patrons too. Our lunch here completely made our day today! Wonderful coffee shop in Lyme Regis. Super friendly owner who is very knowledgeable about coffee, very welcoming. The coffee is FANTASTIC if you are into good coffee. Snacks and lunch also all home made and yummy. Thanks so much for a great visit!

Beautiful espresso, the courtyard is so cute and a perfect sun trap in the morning! The staff (who I think are the owners) are absolutely lovely too. Up there with some of my favourite spots in London.
