Very popular with locals and visitors! I have always been unlucky before as they were always busy but today l got to join their growing band of fans ! The batter of the beautiful fresh haddock was the crispest lightest l have ever had !

Great fish and chips in the garden

Had fish and chips in the garden (there's no inside) and a breakfast on another day (this time take out) food was very good.

Worst fish and chips we’ve had, didn’t eat a bite of it just after looking at it. Not proper chips, frozen chips. Also the fish is fried with the skin on, not the most appetising appearance but depends what you like. At £10 a portion you don’t want McCain or frozen chips, with fish and chips you expect proper chip shop, freshly cut and fried chips. Seagulls are a nightmare here as soon as your food is bought out due to being so open, this part isn’t actually the owners fault, but a pre warning you’ll be pestered and have your food taken.

Modest selection of drink available, at this self-service outdoor venue. Average fish & chips, with limited condiments, and on-site car parking not available & very limited on street parking ( double yellow lines everywhere that's nearby ).

So I have got to say how friendly and helpful the staff were when I arrived here today. I was advised what was left on the menu and what was good to eat. I decided on the Mussels with a creamy cider sauce served with a side of chips and I was offered bread to soak up the fantastic sauce. I must say that the food was delicious and the prices were very reasonable. If you enjoy seafood and great company then I would not hesitate to go to the Catch of the day cafe. Thank you ever so much.

Really lovely fish platter and mussels were the best I've ever tasted also friendly staff. Just don't leave your table when your food arrives, the seagulls will have your food and its all cooked fresh so takes a while. Xx

Not too shabby. First time in here, despite living locally. Two cod and chips, 2 cans of pop and eating in for only £20.💥brilliant💥I recommend you set sail for here ASAP ⛵

Disappointing.The portion size was very small considering the price.Fish tasted average, but quite greasy.Chips seemed like frozen chips to me.
