Always a joy. Lovely place to meet friends for coffee or lunch and to browse Garden Centre. Unusual presents too 😊👍

Great food, relaxed dining with a good ordering system of putting a green card on the table when you're ready. Get there early if you want to eat because it can get busy and start running out. All because it's very popular and good value for money.

Lovely place with extremely helpful staff. The prices are very good for the food, especially as the portions are a healthy size. I had the Greenhouse Burger with was really tasty and came with chips that were delightful.

I've tried most of the menu, and have to say the fish finger sandwich is my fav. Always found the place clean, with friendly staff. Well behaved dogs are welcomed in the conservatory.

Lunch today with a friend. The waitresses were friendly, the organisation was good, the restaurant and loos were spotlessly clean... But sadly let down by lukewarm food served (or rather squashed) on cold plates. Although the coffee was superb. My feelings were that the kitchen staff had way too many covers too cope with, with so many seated during the busy lunch period . I'm sure when less packed 5 stars would be the option.

Our first time here and what a lovely little place! An amazing breakfast and friendly staff. Loved being able to pay first so there was no waiting when all done. Inside was clean and decorated lovely. Will definitely be back!

Lovely varied stroll through woods and along the river. Stepping stones, industrial history, sculptural steel throne on a mini Island. We even had a lovely dusting of snow...

Lovely staff, bright space and very nice food, not much more you can ask for :) There's always people in, but as well enough space to never feel overcrowded, just a gem really!

We visited The Ivy restaurant on Thursday the 11november 2021 with two friendsfor lunch what a disappoint we all thought. Ordered coffee and tea which was served to us without care by a waitress who dumped it on the table coffee in a saucer, we had to ask for napkins to soak it up as no effort was made to put it right. We ordered our lunches which were served in a reasonable time.My ham eggs and salad had just been dumped on the plate without any effort in presentation. Not a good start. Two fish and chip lunches were fried solid, and the fish was dry. Not caught locally but from a factory I would think.I had to ask the waitress to clear the mugs cups and teapot from the tableI am sure she will remember as the teapot had stuck to the table as did two of the plates. The tables surface needed to be cleaned properly not just a quick wipe that I witnessed at another table. My cutlery had small spots of food on it and was not spotlessly clean, I should think that the restaurant dishwasher needs a proper clean. All four of us were disappointed at this visit our first since the lockdown started. The Ivy House is a lovely building in a very nice setting with an opportunity to serve top class food and drinks, it appeared to me that there is no enthusiasm or leadership to do this. What a great shame.

Have eaten here several times over the years and the quality has never dipped. Fantastic, well priced food, great staff and a lovely place to spend time.
