Beats the coffee in the big chains hands down, cake is much better too!!Always call in here, the staff are always 'bubbly' & friendly

A big thumbs down to the new manager for replacing the long row of small tables, on the left as you go in, with three big tables instead. The previous layout was great for individuals or couples as it meant you could have a table to yourself..I know there are still small tables by the windows, but as I don't smoke and have no wish to have nicotine wafted over me from the outside tables right by the open window, they are not an option. So, when it's busy, I'm left with the choice of sharing a table with complete strangers, or going elsewhere, in which case it will be the latter. Coffee #1 in Weymouth and Dorchester both provide lots of small tables, so why the Bridport branch manager has decided to prefer large tables is beyond me. Perhaps he or she only wants to cater for family groups now, rather than the regular individual and two customer groups that are the majority of customers.

Sorry, but the worst cheese and tomato toasties I've tasted ever.

Had lunch. Pleasant place, pleasant friendly staff. Dog friendly too.

I really like this place. It is light, airy and spacious, inside thoughtfully decorated and you can also eat outside if you wish. The menu offers good honest down-to-earth grub which turns up hot and surprisingly quickly. The staff were lovely and polite - always a deal-breaker for me if employees just go through the motions. I've been known to walk out of places without ordering if staff can't be bothered with courtesy in a customer service environment. And as a bonus, when the pots of tea turned up, it was proper tea!! Loose-leaf in a strainer and is the best I've tasted anywhere in a very long time! A word of warning - the cake counter is fabulous and should come with a warning for people like me with no will power!🤣

Lovely hot chocolate and latte,, larger than normal tea cake, jubilee cake tasty. One member of staff was polite and exactly what I would expect. Another member staff talked abruptly and at rapid fire speed,!! made me feel rushed as though the long queue was my fault. Saturday market day is a normal occurance in Bridport so please don't get annoyed at customers!!

Quite noisy as there were several mums with their young children. But a lovely place to go and have a cuppa. Delicious hot Chocolate.
